Seems to me like the "attention" has left something to be desired in that there was a game last night and the Orrville faithful are NOT!

I'm sure that Orrville will be back, after they get "back", you can then speak of more events that happened, "in the past"!
Wow series didnt you have a dog in the fight for Orrville? Or at least a relative of one? Im pretty sure you were on our side for these games and now this?

No, I didn't have a dog in the fight. I have a friend who's son is on the team, but he's not deemed ready yet.Red Rider Nation;1001885 wrote:Wow series didnt you have a dog in the fight for Orrville? Or at least a relative of one? Im pretty sure you were on our side for these games and now this?
Honestly, I'm not a big Orrville fan like I used to be. You seem to be much like 1_beast when it comes to reading comprehension..LOL!

No, I don't have nor have I ever had sour grapes that he didn't get inducted. My efforts in that case was to point out that which wasn't right in a system that seems to always pride itself on doing the right thing.
If you're going to play the troll, at least have the decency to know what you're talking about.

Did you go to the game Saturday? I am curious as to why Winters only had four points? Were we unable to get him the ball inside? Or just good Shelby defense? I didn't go to the game and was just curious. After reading the box score today and noticing that we only had one guy in double digits thats troubling it seems.Series62;1001883 wrote:Seems to me like the "attention" has left something to be desired in that there was a game last night and the Orrville faithful are NOT!

I didn't go as I had a Christmas affair to attend although I would like to have been there as I heard the JV team played well.Old Rider;1003157 wrote:Did you go to the game Saturday? Wow Series you are that guy? Let me just say I lobbyed harder then anyone to get him in however he is his own worst enemy. Bashing Orrville people on Social Networks will get you nowhere. He was one of the best athletes I ever saw play but man do it with dignity! I would be surprised now if he does get in. Talking **it like a curse on Orrville i know I would not vote for him! He needs to grow the **ck up!!! Orrville people stood by him and now he is doing this? UNACCEPTABLE!!

Where was all that support when he should have been nominated/voted in after the "waiting" period. Inasmuch as Orrville "hoo-rahs" they're RTR "tradition" and takes so much pride in their football and basketball history, don't you consider it an insult and undignified to not induct one of your best athletes with his accomplishments!
Was the "social network bashing" (which obviously came after he was not inducted), more a lack of dignity on his part or an embarassment to those on the HoF committee who snubbed him? Especially so since the Orrville Ohio Chatter threads are viewed/visited so numerously.
Don't you find it odd that when I asked the question as to why he wasn't voted into the Orrville High School Athletic HoF, noone has yet to answer.

Sounds like the JV played well, but I don't know how long that will last if coach Slaughter decides to move some of those kids to varsity and limit their JV time?Series62;1003292 wrote:I didn't go as I had a Christmas affair to attend although I would like to have been there as I heard the JV team played well.
As far as the HOF issue goes, I believe he was 1 or 2 votes shy (need atleast a majority) from the voting committee. Why he didn't get a majority??? Hopefully he gets the necessary votes next time around....

All of these conversations are about everything but Orrville Football 2012. If you want to discuss why someone didn't get into a HSHOF make a new thread and include someones name. This way he and Series 62 can get the attention they want. He will get in the next vote because of the attention he received by reacting negative on the schools and community that did so much for him. Let's not forget what Orrville did for the athlete too. Other great athletes at Orrville have waited their turn and didn't make a big deal about it. The big question will be will he accept it or continue to talk? IMO when you turn down such an award you don't belong even though you deserve it!

I'm so glad Aaron Dorksen and Mike Plant in todays paper failed to mention orrville also had 14 wins in there state title year. Figures dorksen would faile to include us with smithville and norwayne. I am suprised that plant did not however.
