Now that was cunning. I wouldn't give up your career as a quick witted high football forum poster.

In all seriousness, if Coach whatIfft loses another regional final I'd think Diver would be looking to go in another direction. Or maybe not, who knows. The man loses with pride. And isn't that what it's all about, pride points?

He does a pretty good job making the kids good citizens. Don't read about them running for the mob or getting kicked off and almost kicked off football teams. There is more to life than highschool football, the rest of us get that.

Defense wins championships. I think Dover gave up more points in 3 playoff games than anyone in history. 158 points??!!

Yeah, because they got to play Minerva and we played Mooney last week. Do you really think if we played Minerva that we would've lost? That's the problem with a hard bracket.

In the end, Mooney ended both our seasons as was probably to be expected. We lost a nail-biter on a last second field goal. You got creamed by 26 and gave up 70 points. I'll still take our season (and it's conclusion) over yours.

well it's time to get off the bandwagon. Find your new favorite team before next week.

I just bought my second house in Dover, its a great town, with a great school, and no matter what year it is, the teams on the football field and hardwood will keep us entertained.

You can have your couple of state championships. I'll take consistently being good with the chance to win championships with kids who grew up in Dover and are anxious to be part of the journey not a spare part picked off the street to help maintain a facade. You are sticking your feather in a hat thats getting old and dusty. Two years in a row that Dover is still playing and you aren't. I would pile on too.
That's pretty weak right there.

If you get a chance, could you let us know how many points they gave up?

While I'm looking that up, how many points did Massillon score in the playoffs?

I'll help you there. None. You know, the same amount that Dover scored against us in the last head to head. (Despite the fact that our starters were sitting after the first series in the second half.)

In Dovers defense, you probably would have scored against our second team in 2006 had your coach has the marbles to renew.

How many years ago was that? Is Massillon really that far behind?

Wow, you really want to know how many years ago 2005 was? I guess it really doesn't matter, a coward back then is most likely a coward today.

Just wondering what that had to do with this year is all. Thanks for proving Massillon lives in the past. I would too if I were you though.

I don't hate Dover. I just find them to be irrelevant. They have never won a trophy for football. You win trophies by being state champ, state runner-up, or regional champ. You can even get a trophy by being AP poll champ. Dover has never even won one of these. They simply are not a state power.

Two AP poll championships since '99 with Dover kids.
