I almost fell over laughing when I read this. So since they lost they are one of the worst BR teams in history? if they won would you have said that? That's not what was said on here the week leading up to the game. You guys gonna start bashing Jo Jo Peirro like youi did Macon?

Never happen again? That's pretty big talk by a fan who's team is 6-1 against Mooney.

That was not one of the worst teams in Big Red history. It was a down year for Big Red but they had some studs on that team. Heck, they hosted a first round game.

They were playing a WR at QB which I don't understand. By doing that not only did you graduate a good QB in Macon but you essentially lost your best WR in Anth Pierro by moving him to QB.

Wasnt even close to a bad team. They were a very average offense. It was the worst team SHS had in the 2000s, IMO. it was Definately a down year. Gotta wonder what the hear wouldve been like w Prather at QB and A Pierro at WR.

Hey, Congrats to Dover. They won that game. Give em credit. They don't have much to hold onto.

Exactly my point. Prather was screwed over and everyone knew what was going on.

That kid that took the hit returned the B.R. punt 3 plays later.

I hate Dover. The only good thing that ever came out of Dover was my cousin, Keith McFarland, who is the recently retired president of Texas A&M University at Commerce.

Nevertheless, I am rooting for Dover to beat Mooney. I hate Mooney even more than I hate Dover. I wish my boys from Big Red had finished off Mooney last week, but we didn't and that's water under the bridge. Steubenville has played 216 different teams in the school's history, and Mooney is one of the few with a winning record against us. I hope I live long enough to see the day that we have a winning record against them.

The other reason I'm rooting for Dover is because I'm tired of reading that Dover has never won anything. I hope they finally win the region and have a trophy to show for it.

3rd try here. Why are you all whining about this? If you are thinking Reno fucked up, we want to know.

To me it is not the kids but the very arrogant fans that think Dover is going to win state every year.

This is a fairly common complaint, but I read every post and not one Dover fan has made the claim that Dover will win state if I somehow missed that post or thread, please re post.

Didn't you hear all the Big Red fans cheering when one of your hometown pride boys was injured in 09? I remember you Diver girls whining bout that after the game (the fans were cheering something totally u relatedbut you all were in cry mode at that point, looking for anything).

I know the kid wasn't seriously injured or I wouldn't be making light of it. Who was that anyway? Was it Ifft?

In all seriousness, that game mustve been a heartbreaker. You came this close to beating one of the best teams in the state that year. That wouldve probably been your year if you'd have won that game. It's tough when you have a team that good but there is somebody else just a nose better. That was an epic game right there. Big Red played another one for the ages just two weeks later and once again was just a hair better than Alter.

Those caliber of teams don't come around very often for the public schools (not trying to start anything). For all the talk of SHS recruiting (which they may) even with the transfers it's tough to get a team that good. Lot of things have to go your way.

That was an awesome game. It was my senior year at OSU and I sold my OSU v scUM football tickets and went to Fawcett. Dover lost, but I made a grand on my tickets.

I agree. They refer to Mooney as U of M but never seem to realize where the Magnone brothers, the Busic brothers and Marcus Prather came from.

Nothing like two starting QB's, a stud FB/LB and an all state player of the year on the Dline. Something fishy in thay rivertown.
