How much did he know about the '98 investigation?

There is a lot more that will come out of this, and it likely won't be good for Paterno.

How much did the detectives of the Police Dept know about the 1998 investigation and what did they do?

As am I.

I could honestly see a student boycott of the game Saturday.

I'm guessing CNN will have some footage at some point if ESPN doesn't.

Wow, did anyone watch the presser? That was one of the most ridiculous things i've ever seen. John Surma handled that as well as anyone could.

I sure hope the students don't boycott the game. When Tressel was fired, people still showed up and supported the team like a true fan would do.

Students pouring onto campus. Sprinting. I hear police horses. 'Joe's house!' This is going to be bad.

I'm thinking as a big FU to the trustees/university for such a quick decision. I'm not hoping it, but I could see it.

They had a few months to get over it too, not 60 hours.

Holy jesus. Did they even check for media affiliation? People screaming questions like they just fired JoePa for being old.

That was an absolute disaster.

I agree 100%. Probably even quicker given the way he left. The thought was that Joe Pa was afraid to retire because of Bear. Now, think about being fired amongst scandal.

Seriously, I could see it before 1/1/12.
