1-joe pa died

2-Sandusky offed himself

3-PSU students burned Happy Valley to the ground

A great man was just publicly hanged. A betrayal beyond words. Joe Paterno's side of the story was never truly heard, and the preposterously ridiculous attempt we just saw from the Penn State University Board of Trustees trying to vindicate their decision of letting go Paterno proves that nobody ever cared to. The university saw itself free falling to its death, and tried to stem the bleeding by putting a metaphorical revolver to the temple of its living identity and shooting him point-blank in the head. This whole scenario, from the monstrous transgressions of Jerry Sandusky to the abrupt removal of the greatest coach the game of football has ever known, is a travesty.

Long live the legend of Joe "Pa" Paterno. A legend in a class of his own.

"I sympathize for the kids that were victimized... Joe pa did his job and shouldn't be fired from his job. His job said to win games and be a great coach and when the situation occurs where you need to tell your boss when something wrong occurred, DO IT!! .. He did that."

You're pathetic. And I mean that in the absolute worst way possible.

Good for the BOT for firing him and not giving him the dignity of resigning, and shame on any student rioting over a football coach being fired because of his inaction that resulted in children being raped.

Who's fault is that? If Joe Paterno wanted his story heard he could tell it.

Sad thing is Penn St is an incredible school filled with brilliant students, who are apparently brainwashed.

By continuing to associate your school with these adults who knew, you are essentially condoning the activity that occurred under their watch.

A public university cannot have that. There is a reason the Governor, the DOE, and the Attorney General are all investigating this.

Very well written. We all agree Joe Pa is a coaching legend. He fucked up here by not forwarding this information. Thus, he deserved to be fired. This isnt a "tatoo-gate". Jerry Sandusky makes me puke!!

Where was the Gov,DOE and AG in 1998 when the 2 Police Dept detectives and an investigator with the Pennsylvania Dept of Family took Sandusky's confession that he showered naked with a 10yr old and probaly touched his genitals?
