You're not giving an opinion you're besmirching logic.

Notice how the only opinion I've given on the matter is that nothing can "un-tarnish his legacy". That doesn't make me Joe Jr., which brings me to my next point: the rest of my posts have only been pointing out the egregious logical fallacies and lingual idiocy permeating your posts.

Through the last few pages of the thread, you have been presented with information and iron clad analogies proving that Penn State is richly deserving of punishment. Through 64 pages of this thread you have consistently tried to excuse the depraved indifference your dad showed in Sandusky's reign of terror toward the children of central Pennsylvania. And your attempt to mitigate the guilt of the University that sheltered both of them.

Hits...yes everyone knows who really won those games no matter if they are official or not. But trust me if the damn NCAA doesn't reinstate them, everytime someone talks about all-time wins the story of child sexual abuse also gets told and is never forgotten. Paterno was complicit and his legacy needs to reflect that in the most penaltied way possible. And his family needs to suffer too since he pussied out and died on us.

^^^I don't really care either way except to say that the players who won those games should be credited with the wins, Paterno be damned. Regardless, Penn State and Paterno will always be associated with the child sex abuse scandal, in the same way James Rhodes and Kent state are forever tied to the shootings there.

I am less sure about his family needing to suffer additionally, not knowing how they fit into all of this. I would surmise that the pain and humiliation of having their once revered father disgraced and associated with such an ignominious scandal would be enough.

The thing that gets me is that PSU people always say Paterno wasn't obligated by Pennsylvania law to do more. So what that doesn't mean he shouldn't have. Agreed. Anyone that doesn't believe JoePa covered up, or at the very minimum, turned a blind eye to these terrible crimes is guilty of having an IQ the equivalent of room temperature.

I have been absent for almost a year from the OC until the past month, but I didn't realize people actually still argued with Isadore. He/she is the biggest troll on here and isn't worth arguing with.

I still have a problem with Paterno selling recruits on the university being first class when he's hiding a pedo crime involving one of his coaches. Is there anyone that doesn't think football recruiting may have been different if this was public knowledge? Obviously we'll never know, but IMO that's where the NCAA had a case.

I agree with you on the taking away wins/bowl bans/schollies ...especially moving forward. Enough has been heaped on the innocent.

Tiernan is upset that they restored Joe Paterno's wins.....but think of it this way.....they also restored the wins of those college athletes that also earned those wins and did nothing wrong, but to have played for Penn State.
Joe Paterno won more college football games than anyone in history....that's a fact. Sure the NCAA can take away the wins and the #2 guy can be called the coach who won the most games....but there will always be an asterisk no matter which way it is noted. The truth is that Paterno won those games, and that won't change just because we view him as complicit with Sandusky or if he had gone out and shot up a bus of children with an AK-47.
I don't disagree with you, but couldn't you apply that logic to almost every ncaa penalty ever levied? They typically punish the school once everyone else has moved on.
