Unselfishness/willingness to pass(Melo is a bit of a black whole when he catches it on the wing), more versatile, a little bit better defender, has shown better ability to put a team on his back when he has to( I think Melo bouncing out in the first round 7/8 years says a lot about him), Durant would never get a DUI during the playoffs so I guess focus on winning would be one. You're right in the fact that the media do love Durant, Skip Bayless even said he is better than Lebron and a few others have said that as well which I think is crazy. That's my list of players that I rank as better NBA players ahead of him. Not saying talent or scoring but I'm not a melo fan.
