Andre Johnson being out hurts Houston big time but Schaub and Foster still worry me. I think the Ravens' D is playing pretty damn well though so I'm confident.

Schaub got murdered in the 2nd half of the game today. Although they are better, it had to bring back flashes of the "David Carr takes a weekly beating show" the Texans' fans watched for a few seasons.

The Texans D, if Mario Williams isn't there, is going to struggle against a Ravens' offense, especially at home, far better than even the improved Raiders. The Raiders really didn't run the ball great today and Jason Campbell and a lot of unproven/unknown receivers beat the Texans.

Ravens by 16.

May sound stupid....but IMO it is more beneficial for the Steelers if the Ravens beat the Texans.....and I'm going to put a lot of vbucks on it.

I dont know. I cant imagine 2 teams from the South in the playoffs. I think you should still be pulling for the division at this point...with the realization that if B-More wins it does help the Steelers in some regard (WC, should the Titans win the South).

I just don't think the Steelers are nearly as good as the Ravens.....I know it's still early and Baltimore could have some key injuries....but I want the Texans, Raiders, Bills and Jets to compile as many losses as they can so Pittsburgh can have a better shot at the WC if they can get to 9 or 10 wins.....PIttsburgh will have to take care of their own business versus the Bengals and Browns....but right now I think the Ravens are right on the Patriots as the best AFC team and I'm just going to guess it's better off to root for the Ravens against the potential playoff/WC teams. I know what you are saying....I just feel Baltimore is going to win 12 and no way Pittsburgh can get to that number.

Why would a Steeler fan want the Texans to lose?

They will win that division regardless. You want the Titans to lose.

As far as this game goes, I find it difficult to believe that the Texans, sans their best offensive and defensive players, can pose a threat to the Ravens. Last time I saw the Ravens on tv, Ray Lewis scared me and I was 1500 miles away.

There is an outside chance that Johnson plays, but I wouldn't risk it. The schedule gets much easier in the second half for the Texans. Andre needs to be 100% for the second half run.

F'n bye weeks blow. I understand the need for them but they blow. Ha

I'm pumped for the game because of the bye week but when the team I follow plays a contender when they don't have two of their key players.

I just read this. It should be interesting because he got into 2 or 3 mini scuffles against the Ravens a few weeks ago.

Still feel the game will be competitive. If the Ravens can take advantage of the Jason Allen/Karim Jackson corner spot....they will move the ball up and down the field. Expect to see more of Arian Foster in the pass game, and more of the Owen Daniels and Joel Dreesen. Without the vertical threat of Andre Johnson, the Texans will have trouble running the ball.

I don't think it will be a blow out but if the Ravens' D plays like it has been playing and their O has any life at all outside of Ray Rice I look for them to win by 10.

How'd the Ravens do in the playoffs last year? How'd the Phillies do the past two postseason? I wouldn't keep doing it if it wasn't working for me. Right now I have 30,000 or 35,000 on the Cardinals vs Brewers...the go to the WS and I'll put whatever I have left on them.....win big fake money or be happy with game outcome?...good stuff man.

Ha I wasn't dissing you for doing it. I was just asking if you had tried it this year and if it had worked yet.

I've already explained it, it's quite simple. Yes, it's very early but I believe the Ravens are going to get 11+ wins and I do not believe the Steelers will have much chance at that. I want all potential WC teams to accumulate as many losses as possible....Oakland, Buffalo, Jets, Texans and Titans. The Browns and Bengals the Steelers will have to win 3/4 of those games to take care of enough business. Call it what you want but it will either prove me wrong about Pittsburgh not catching the Ravens for the AFC North title or it'll prove my thoughts right on.....either way I'm happy.

I haven't tried it much cause Karen hasn't given many just win odds. I can't put 15,000 on the Ravens -3 as they would win by 1 or 2 every time and I'd be mad about the outcome had lose mucho fake money.

The loss of Andre Johnson was never more evident than during this game. I am not sure the Texans can have a prolific offense without him. The running game is terrible without the Johnson threat. The Ravens have a good defense, if you can't back a safety out of the box, you can't run on them.

Oh well, the tough gauntlet to open the season is over. Texans should win at least 7 of the last 10 to make the playoffs. I only see two tough games remaining against the Falcons and Bucs.
