Been watching this program for awhile. They have ruined their own football program and I don't see them recovering any time soon. The AD, a few years back, ran out of town one of their best coaches in McDaniels. That was followed by canning the successor, Dota, who took them to the playoffs and lost his job as the reward. A recent coach search was a complete fiasco with several choices of the Board declining the job. Rios , the current coach ,now appears in over his head. Most recent game was a 41-14 blow-out at Lorain. Now 1-5, the program appears headed nowhere as a result of meddling by a buffoon of an AD and clowns in the bleachers who pressured the Board to fire a better coach than they now have. Self destruction on a grand scale. Years of losing lie ahead for a once proud program that was destroyed by the town. Massillon has to be salivating !

Too many great athletes in Warren. Have to believe you may be right about this collapse.

I have a legit question about this very subject, but I won't ask it because I don't want your mom yelling at me.

This has been going on in Warren for a long time. They would have been better off if they just kept Annarella in the 90's, but winning the state wasn't good enough. Hopefully they get that program turned around.

Whats that tell you about a town that runs off a coach who wins the state championship? Or one who got them to the playoffs almost every year and into the championship game? Or one who gets them to the playoffs and they can him ?

And now they wonder why they are losing . With no end in sight.

And thats your answer ? Where were those players when Dota won and took them to the playoffs ? You forget you don't always have players like that every year. And thats why McD and Dota won because they were good enough coaches to win even without super players. Dota didn't have a single major D-I player and yet he won.

What you have now is a mess of epic porportions. Congrats, Warren. Job well done.

I'm very disappointed in the state of things at WGH. With all the talent that they have year in and year out, they should be in the playoff hunt every year.

Dota didn't win a state title and the delusional clowns of Warren will continue to ruin this program with their demands. McD got rid of trouble makers and discipine problems but folks wanted more kids on the team.

You got em. What do you have now ?

I think it started way before that, he was just the fiery explosion of the ongoing crash

"Smartest" of all the old WGH head coaches was Ed Glass. He won the State Championship in '74, left on his own accord and went to Hubbard in '75. Dug Hubbard out of a hole, then went on to N Canton Hoover where he coached in another State Championship game (a 3point loss).

Knew Glass and you are probably right. Glass knew the problems in Warren with the idiots and clowns and got out. Said Warren was never a town you wanted to stay long in. lol

I've said it elsewhere and I'll say it here a few of the people in Warren are the problem. Let a coach build his program before you call for his head. Rios has sent kids to BCS schools as well as the NFL with no where near the number of athletes, facilities, or even community support. You have to crawl before you walk. You guys would much rather put the baby up for adoption because he isn't running!

Also I have never seen so many woulda, coulda, shoulda's amongst people. X,Y, and Z aren't coaches at Warren anymore whether they were ran out, or left on their own accord. Get over it! Leave the past in the past! Support your current coach and the kids instead of tearing them down!

He went to Hubbard as HC and "Government Grant Writer", had other duties as well, but not as Athletic Director.

The crowd continues to get smaller for Harding games. This week is a monster game -- 1-5 Euclid at 1-5 Harding. There will be than a few empty seats.

Great job, Warren.
