Coshocton continues to roll as the Skins pounded Claymont 41-14. Meantime New Philadelphia is coming off a 28-7 tough loss to Northwest.

I like Coshocton's chances....but then again I'm biased! :D

Prediction:

Coshocton 28
New Philly 14

Phila is like a wounded Duck. Coshocton sees the wounded duck and beats it's brains in. Skins have a nice roasted de canard Friday night..

Hope so Graywolf. I still have a lot of respect for the Quakers though. I doubt the Skins will have a lopsided win in this one.

If New Philly can established a run game with Johnson they have a shot. New Philly can't win by relying on the pass.

Story of the game:

For Coshocton....Turnovers and STUPID, STUPID personal foul and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. When you're facing a good back like Jamal Johnson, you don't help your cause by giving the kid a short field to run on.

Seriously.

Although Coshocton looked very flat in the first half, they came out in the second half and took charge by easily scoring 2 quick TD's. The Skins were driving for what looked like a third score...and then put the ball on the ground. UGH!! Had Coshocton scored the complexion of this game would have looked a lot different.

As it was, the Quakers took advantage of the turnover coupled with an IDIOTIC unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and quickly evened the score. Coshocton returned the favor and re-took the lead. However, another STOOOPID late hit penalty aided the Quakers next drive and New Philly tied the score.

Coshocton's coaching staff needs to do some MAJOR butt chewing in practice this week. Unbelievable.

In the meantime, while I think New Philly's attack is pretty much The Jamal Johnson Show, I have to give this sophomore dominated team some credit. It appears that New Philly's next couple of seasons look bright indeed.

New Philly kids have a good attitude and do not give up. They have been in every game they have played giving themselves the chance to win. They were even in the NW game into the 4th qtr. I'm not saying they are a great team and will win the ecol but what I am saying is they are not going to just roll over and die for anyone. Go Quakers
