I think the dude is entitled to change his mind if he decides he doesn't want to go back to Pittsburgh. Like I said he doesn't owe Pittsburgh anything. He helped bring two Stanley Cups.
And comparing that to the Lebron sit. Is grasping. For one no one outside of Pittsburgh gave a shit about Jagr's comeback. I don't understNd what Cleveland fans saw in Ledouche in the first place but thats irrelevant here.
All I know is the wahmbulance was busy in PGH last night.
You're right that Jagr didn't owe Pittsburgh anything and I don't think that's the gripe that most Penguins fans have with him. It's the stuff that he said and then signing with Philly that leads one to believe that he used his "interest" in returning to Pittsburgh and playing for Mario to get more money out of the Flyers. He's completely within his rights to do that, but you've got to expect some backlash from the fans.
Also, my mention of LeBron wasn't a direct comparison but rather pointing out that fans will voice their displeasure when they feel wronged or slighted. LeBron's departure from Cleveland was much worse than Jagr shunning the Pens, not even close. However, I'd say the reactions were appropriately different as well.
My point is, it's understandable that fans react when they feel slighted...whether it's a big fuck you like LeBron did or a little one like Jagr.
