Yeah Williams had a great season then the next year they both went over 1000 yards but since then they haven't really done shit. They are not that good of RBs and outside of Steve Smith their WRs are bad. Shockey and Olsen are alright TEs but still not that great.

Also I would take these teams WRs over Carolinas: Cowboys, Colts, Pats, Packers, Falcons, Saints, Giants, Chiefs, Cardinals, Lions, Eagles, Redskins, Bills, Texans, Ravens, Broncos, Steelers and Chargers which is more then half the teams in the league. I might also take the Jets, Bengals, and Dolphins over the Panthers as well.

Durkie I don't think he could ever get worse then some others.

I'd take the Broncos, Bills, and Skins off of that list. I just think Lafell and Nanee are pretty good #2 and #3s. Its all subjective anyways. Even if your list, that still puts them in the middle of the pack, which is basically the point I was trying to prove.

This post is what fantasy football has done to football analysis. You're implying Williams is no longer good because he only had 1 good game, most likely for fantasy purposes.

You're completely overlooking that he's 4th in the NFL in yards/attempt and Stewart is 22nd. Williams is actually 3rd among running backs if you take out Mike Vick who is leading everyone at 8.4

Ignorance is bliss I guess...

He also has under 50 carries so his ypc hasnt had a chance to level out like most of the top RBs in the league

So you get to wait for his stats to "level out" to prove your point and therefore it invalidates the fact he's 3rd in the NFL among running backs in yards/carry now?

Nice logic...

I will agree with you that they are middle of the pack. But I'll disagree with you that Nanee and Lafell are pretty good #2 and #3s.

I don't get that at all. I would say an uneducated person would be more likely to only look at the totals (such as 4th in NFL in yards/attempt), but when you actually look at the overall numbers, he's been poor in (including today) 4 out of 6 games.

I'm not saying he isn't a good running back, but the ypc average is very misleading with him.

Why would a specific statistic (yards gained per time running the football) be less misleading than a general statistic (yards per game)? THAT doesn't make sense. He can't help how many times he's given the ball per game, he can only do his best when he does get it. And when he does get it, he's 3rd in the NFL among running backs in how many yards he gains per rushing attempt.

Zero passing touchdowns and 3 interceptions today for Cam.

He also now has more interceptions than passing touchdowns on the season.

This. Colt McCoy is averaging 4 ypc today. Doesn't mean he should keep running the ball.

Example:

game 1 - 3 carries, 90 yards
game 2 - 6 carries, 10 yards
game 3 - 5 carries, 12 yards

Obviously the nonexistent hypothetical player was horrible in 2 out of 3 games. But he's averaging 8 yards per carry!

When you have as few carries as Williams does, one or 2 big rushes is all that's needed to skew your overall average. In reality he's been ineffective in probably 90% of his carries this season.

I'll definitely give you that. I'm just saying I think he's better than people are giving him credit for, in terms of skill left in tank.

Actually that nonexistent hypothetical player IS D Williams. In 2 games he has 19 att for 197 yards for a 10ypc. In the other 4 games he has 39 att for 105 yards for a 2.7 ypc. I think the dude is damn good and have no idea why he gets so few carries.
