Campbell Memorial travels to Brookfield on Friday in a battle of unbeaten teams. From what I have heard, Brookfield has circled this game on their schedule as a benchmark for their program. Campbell has scored 116 points in three games, led by tailback Ja'les Hughes, who has scored 12 touchdowns while rushing for over 600 yards...........in just 7 quarters. Campbell's starting defense has given up just 3 points so far this season. The Red Devils' defensive line has been dominating. Campbell has the speed and athletes that Brookfield will not see again in the regular season. Brookfield will come out fired up for this game. Campbell needs to score early to put a dent in the confidence Brookfield has right now. This is a big game for both as far as computer points. Your thoughts on this game?

BEST NEWS WE GOT TODAY -> Charles Smith Im good, nothing to serious should be back this week or next week 2 hours ago

As far as the game, without sounding arrogant. Campbell jumps on em early and rolls. I do think Brookfield gives them a game though.

You just contriadicted yourself. Lol. That being said, I believe that going to Brookfield on Friday will be a test for the devils. Brookfield is very good this year, they are no mineral ridge, or liberty.

Brookfield has a really good QB a big back for the tough yards and a everydown back in Mosora who is putting up monster numbers. 2 Tall talented recievers in Harkulich and Quinlans brother. One thing is forsure Brookfield is always known for hardnosed kids who can hit and tackle. I do believe Campbell wins the game but saying its going to be complete blowout is unreal. Brookfield played 3 cucpakes as well as Campbell did this will be the first game where they lineup with talent across from them. Speed isn't everything even though Brookfield is definatly not as fast as campbell they do have tons of talent. Should be a good game to watch.

Not really, I see the game ending up around 42-28 Campbell. Meaning they'll give them a game, but Campbell stills wins going away.

Nice try though.

I'm not going to argue with you, just look the word up.
Saying Jumps on them early and rolls does not mean 42-28.... 14 points is not "rolling" nice try though.

Oh well, no one's perfect. It's not trolling if you have an input :). You might just be mad someone corrected you, must happen a lot. And yes, If Ursuline makes the playoffs, you'll cry about them when they beat Campbell. Lets get real here. But that's not for this discussion. You clearly don't know anything about this Brookfield team, but you sure love your devils! You can be a homer all you want, just don't post moronic statements like the one that originally prompted this "argument".

Most of Brookfield's starters have 3 years of varsity experience. Brookfield has a very talented offensive line. The QB is good. They average over 40 ppg. But after beating teams such as Liberty 0-3 and Mineral Ridge 1-2 i guess you have every right to be arrogant. I'm just saying this will be no cakewalk.

I see your point. Powerhouses like Trinity, WWA, and Jefferson really show how good the Warriors are. Besides Campbell, Brookfield has 1 team on their schedule with a winning record. (Niles 2-1)

This is really going nowhere. Were just gonna hafta let the kids decide this on the field.

Campbell is just warming up. Someone tried to correct me earlier by saying Ja'les only had a little over 500 yards. My guess they went by the vindicator that ripped off Jales for about 200 yards. Ja'les is yes just over 700 yards. And what everyone fails to realize is he achieved that without playing any thats none of the first two games 4th qt's and most of the 3rd also. i would be very worried if you see a Campbell bus pulling into your school parking lot. And it feel so damn good to be back in that position and being that damn confident. Brookfield just another bump in the road.

Not to belabor the point, but where are you guys coming up with 700+ yds for Ja'les? mineral ridge: 131, south range: 277, liberty: 220 = 628. As for the game, campbell's d-line has been sensational. Their size, strength, and quickness will cause all kinds of problems for Brookfield. It will be interesting to see how Campbell reacts if they do infact fall behind early.

Both teams havent played the best schedule thus far. But they both have done what they were supposed to do against these teams. So it will be interesting to see who is the better team on the field Friday night. Good luck red devils!

Both teams have some nice weapons. Brookfield has a huge offensive line but a bit slow. But they can grind you straight ahead. I am thinking campbell is a one man show but he can go down if you can get a hat on him very easy. The question is can they get to him. I am really liking this Masora kid. If he ran the ball 25 times a game his numbers would be unreal because the line gives him holes. Last years game could of went to Brookfield but to many mistakes. This game is a toss up. Who makes the least mistakes and plays disciplined with out penalties will probably win. Both teams have racked up useless penalties.

Having said this it is a must game for Brookfield. If they loss this game it is a major blow due to they will not get many secondary points based on their entire scheduled opponents many not win 10 games amongst them. THe game is at Brookfield. Edge goes to the heart of the Field and a packed house.

Having said that

sonny, you are correct regarding Ja'les total rushing yards. Campbell needs to come out fired up for Brookfield. Despite the fact that Campbell has had three easy wins, I want to see more intensity out of them from the opening kickoff to the end of the game. I believe Campbell's team speed will be the deciding factor in this game.

both teams are better than last year, however, brookfield wont be able to cover campbells wr's when they go to the spread, no way. if anyone thinks campbell is a "one man show", then they are in for a rude awakening. Lets be honest about last years game, campbell played like crap, and still ended up winning by 15.

Time will tell. How often has campbell really thrown the ball when they needed to?

sonny, I found it amusing when that quote about Campbell being a "one man show" was posted. I also found it amusing that Ja'les will go down very easily if a hat is put on him. Gabriel Smith emerged as another threat downfield last week and my guess is Coach Zetts will have an added weapon up his sleeve on Friday.

Reyes has thrown for about 100 yards in each of the first three games. They haven't had to throw the ball "when they needed to" because the games have not been close. Reyes is very mature back there and he will hit his receivers if need be. Again I emphasize that Campbell Memorial's team speed will be a deciding factor in this game.

the deciding factor in this game will be the o line of brookfield, and the 7th ranked running back in the state ryan mosora. Speed is only factor if they get on the field.... brookfield controls the clock with pure power in size of the big men up front!!!

South Range had a similar game plan. They had a big offensive line also. It was 41-0 Campbell with 7 minutes left in the third quarter when Coach Sikora pulled his starters. Campbell's defensive line is big too. Big and fast. Big is one thing. Big and fast is a whole other story. If Mosera is ranked 7th, I wonder where Ja'les Hughes is?

Its simple The talent up front(brookfield o-line) will destroy Campbell. Idc how fast the little red devils run. They WILL be over powered for 4 quarters Friday nite. PERIOD
