does anyone think there will be an attack on 9/11 this year? I think with bin laden's death this could be the year they strike again.

I dont think in the US there will be one.

As a matter of fact, i very much question the ability of Al Qaeda to attack us right now. The reason why I say this is because they havent since 9/11. I guess the US has made arrests and such that many of us will never know about, but there is no way they could thwart them all so I think that their ability to do so has been so severly deteriated.

Right around the time that he was killed I wondered if that would trigger some sort of automatic response, but it hasnt. Ya know, sleeper cells kinda just wait and abide their time to set forth for the next attack, or have it automatically triggered at the news of his death.

How has this changed since then? It was like that well before then.

I realize that this mess started in the 1930's. But when you have a moderate POTUS bailing out private companies with borrowed money, that leads the way to major problems.

The economy was strong in some of the following years after 9-11. Explain that one.

Stock market , insurance, tourism were all negetively effected, change in behaviors leading to small businesses going under helping to increase unemployment. 9/11 imo indirectly led to the war in Iraq and afghanistan, costing trillions of dollars in spending let alone the price of gas...
So much wrong with this post, it boggles my mind that you are an educator.

I know the league will fine him and that is fine with me. But Lance Briggs will be my favorite player on Sunday. This is just awesome. The NO FUN LEAGUE should've been proactive and had everyone doing this. That said, from a Vet of 9/11 and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan Thank You Lance Briggs.

ESPN is doin a 9/11 dedication on outside the lines. They showed Bush throwing out the first pitch at yankees stadium. I don't care how you feel about Bush, that has to be the greatest opening pitch ever.

Wrong. The NFL approved the gear Briggs is wearing today. He won't receive any fines.

I still get pissed every time I see footage from that day. I can't fathom how it would feel to lose a family member or friend that way. I heard this song on the radio the other day that could literally make anyone cry. I am posting a link to the webpage, it is the song Heaven by Bryan Adams, with a little girl's voice talking about her dad who died. However it was updated for 2011 and she is now in high school. It may be the saddest song I have ever heard.
