wow, this whole story is unbelievable! charles robinson did an incredible job with this. it screams death penalty but i'd say miami gets the "life in prison" treatment - something like 5 year bowl ban and loss of 10 scholarships per year over that timeframe.

also shalala, dee, haith and any other coaches or administration members that knew of it should immediately be removed of their duties and essentially black-listed in the college athletic universe

I meant the players who aren't implicated. There are over 80 guys on that team. Yes a certain 10 guys or so are named, but the backup punter, etc will suffer for actions of other guys who are already in or will likely go to the NFL

In light of Willis McGahee's name being on the list of players to have received illegal benefits from Shapiro, I'd like to just leave this comment here for laughter and ridicule
Asked specifically if Miami should be declared national champions if Ohio State won with ineligible players, McGahee said: “I feel we were cheated anyway. We beat them. The pass interference with the eligible, ineligible players. It wouldn’t have made any difference. I can’t get my money back that I missed out on a second ring. If they did [cheat] I’d like to have my ring.”

The meal turned out to be an NCAA violation - one of many minor ones Gee commits each year. "I'm more self-reported than any president in the country," he quips.

Again, others might not laugh. At Miami, president Donna Shalala personally hires each coach. She studies the NCAA rulebook and weekly compliance reports. During football games, she scours the sidelines for suspicious guests. "I'm on alert all the time," she says.
LOL. Add that to this zinger of hypocrisy from former Miami AD Paul Dee while he was NCAA infractions director in the Reggie Bush investigation:
"High profile players demand high-profile compliance," Dee said 14 months ago in reference to Reggie Bush. "USC should have known"
I guess McGahee, Winslow, Hester, Wilfork, et al just weren't high profile enough.

What's left to be proven? Were you one of the Casey Anthony jurors? Shapiro might be a rat, but the rat's tale is being backed up by evidence and confirmation from people with no reason to lie.

It doesn't really matter to me what happens to the U. The team I root for is actually good and wins games that matter. I'm sure fans of ND/Michigan/Florida probably care because they have nothing better to do than talk about other teams issues. I guess if my team's best season in the next 20 years will be due to a weak schedule and at best will get my team a mediocre bowl game, I'd probably spend time talking about violations of other teams.

I'm not saying it isn't proven. I haven't went through everything. Hell, there is a lot of info! I'm just saying if everything is true, it deserves severe sanctions. Some of the stuff hasn't been proven.

And, if you don't understand why Casey went free, I hope you never are a juror.

For those who may struggle at basic math...

Hmmmm. Auburn didn't get in trouble (yet) for the Cam Newton deal. I think we've established that. And USC isn't in the SEC. So I'm not sure what your point is.

After watching Pony Express, I thought the NCAA said they had no idea the level of punishment for the "Death Penalty" was going to be THAT devastating. I could have sworn they said they never would level that punishment again, even if it was "warranted" or "worse" than what SMU did.

Reggie Bush allegedly got 300K. Cam Newton's dad asked Miss St for 180K (which he did not receive from them). Even if it turns out that Auburn paid more, the only real point to your numbers here are you get what you pay for.

USC = Cheaters = 300K = 2 National Titles, Heisman
Auburn = Cheaters = 180K = National Title, Heisman
OSU = Cheaters = 10K = Fired Coach

Case in point. Based on this evidence, you would but Miami in the slammer.

"On Robert Marve’s allegation page, Yahoo! shows a September credit card statement with a bill at Cameo night club, which Shapiro alleges that he took UM players to after a 2008 loss to FSU."

However...

"A simple fact check from Yahoo! would have shown that UM and FSU played in October that year, therefore disproving Shapiro’s version of events."

It's never that simple. I think after the shock value of this story wears off, people will start tearing about the "evidence" and making heads and tails of it.

Webbie just let the buckeye fans be hypocritical. Its ok to call out another program and say they should get the death penalty even tho all the facts/evidence haven't been confirmed. But you're not allowed to do it to OSU. Do I think there is more actual evidence in the Miami case probably, do I think whats happened at Miami is worse then OSU yes!

Don't get me wrong. This Miami shit is deep and they are gonna pay. But there is so much out there right now, and there is a very high shock value. Once the dust settles, we'll be able to separate fact from lie. Receipts don't really prove anything. A lot of pictures don't prove anything. That doesn't mean the proof isn't out there. It might just be a matter of matching the pieces up.

It isn't the receipt, it is the confirmation of former players with no reason to lie.

What is the angle there?

And I'd appreciate a little more respect, considering you can't even put a "put" instead of a "but".

Is Tyrone Moss anonymous?

Keep digging. You'll be in Ty Webb territory soon.

Have you even remotely followed this story? This is quite possibly the biggest scandal in college football history, even eclipsing SMU.
