Curly J;862456 wrote:It's in Bellevue/Newport Kentucky. They have a very large Wine and Beer selection. Some beers you can't get in Ohio due to them being above 12% ABV. Guess I'm lucky living in The Nati area as I'm less that a half hour from Kentucky and Indiana, where they have beers that aren't available in Ohio.

Curly, tell them how good that Quaff Bros brew was.Curly J;862421 wrote:Found it on tap at The Party Source. I was tempted to get a Growler, but I've still got a few bottles set back that I could drink.
It was a damn good Porter. One of the better Porters I've had. I was actually quite surprised because it's brewed by a local brewery called Rivertown, for the Party Source Store under their Quaff Bros name. I've had some of Rivertown's beers before and they were alright, but this was above anything I've ever had from them. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised since the last Quaff Bros I had from them was great too, Hop Flood.justincredible;890624 wrote:Curly, tell them how good that Quaff Bros brew was.
I almost bought Torpedo.Curly J;891305 wrote:Seen it, but never had it. Picked up some Sierra Nevada Torpedo today though.
I guess I should try Tumbler.
They still had the Planked Porter on tap as of Thursday night.Curly J;891080 wrote:It was a damn good Porter. One of the better Porters I've had. I'll have to get me a growler of that Porter, if they still have it when I make it down there again.
Lord knows when I'll make it down there again. I did find a webpage that is local about beer and who is carrying it on tap plus other great info.justincredible;892585 wrote:They still had the Planked Porter on tap as of Thursday night.
So did you mean Torpedo was bad by this statement or did you mean it was good so you are interesting in seeing how good Tumbler is?Curly J;891305 wrote:Seen it, but never had it. Picked up some Sierra Nevada Torpedo today though.

What I meant was I've never tried Tumbler. When I bought beer the other night, I was in a hops mode and not looking for a brown ale. I bought the Torpedo because it was an 'Extra' IPA. I've had it Torpedo before and liked it...not so much today. Seems it wasn't as good as I thought it was. I will buy Tumbler next time I'm I can to try it.bigdaddy2003;892803 wrote:So did you mean Torpedo was bad by this statement or did you mean it was good so you are interesting in seeing how good Tumbler is?
