Only knew about Robot and Frank because of NPR, they did an interview with the main actor. Really great interview, if you see the movie I suggest seeking out the interview.

I didn't think Gangster Squad was as bad as it's rating would suggest on Rotten Tomatoes. One critic went as far as to say Penn's character was cartoon-like. I didn't see that.

I didn't think Gangster Squad was anywhere near as bad as it's Rotten Tomatoes rating would suggest. I liked Gosling's, Emma Stone's, and Penn's roles. One critic went as far as to say Penn's character was cartoon like. I didn't see that.

Agreed, as I mentioned earlier, this is one instance where I disagreed with the low rating on RT. Just got back from "Mama". Despite the favorable reviews, I thought it was corny as hell. It had a few of those "cat jumping out of the cabinet" type scares, but other than that....very lame.

I just didn't see anything funny in the trailer. I guess it's possible they didn't put the funny stuff in the previews.

Don't Be a Menace and parts of Scary Movie 1 & 2 were funny. Other that that I'm not a big fan.
