Yes. Players were also pissed that the other NY quarterback, Eli Manning, is held accountable and faces the press, does radio shows, etc (facing his critics) while it appears that Sanchez is protected in his little "bubble." Also heard there was some jealousy because Sanchez was getting all of the endorsements/commercials. Like a bunch of catty high school girls, those Jets.

Wasn't he also dating a high school girl? Everyone, but the penn state grads, had issues with that.

Manning to the Jets makes all the sense in the world if it happens.

That roster is Super Bowl ready and if Manning is Manning again he could win it all with them.

There is also the "Peyton vs. Eli" brothers QBing the 2 NY teams angle that he media would love.

The Jets have a good O-line, which is a prerequisite I am sure for any team Manning would consider, and solid receivers/TE.

Roger Goodell would likely wet himself to get Peyton in NY, so it is going to come down to whatever Peyton/Irsay decide. Not sure I see a better fit out there if Peyton moves on in terms of everything he would want to have in place.

Kind of agree. But if they are telling the truth, doing so with a name behind will likely lead to them being cut.

100% correct. I'm sure the Cardinals would love to have Manning, as would the Seahawks. But that isn't a good match for a guy that can still win with a great supporting cast. The Jets can provide that, and it is obvious by now that Sanchez will likely never be a top 10 QB in the league, rumors aside. He isn't a terrible player, but isn't worth his salary and isn't a QB a franchise can build itself around. Peyton needs to go to NY.

Of the teams that might be interested in taking the gamble on Peyton/would be open to bringing in a new QB, I'd say the best 3 options for him to win would be NYJ, San Francisco (not sure they'd make a move like that), and Kansas City.

Average division + healthy team + Peyton Manning could = big things for the Chiefs if Peyton's still got something in the tank. They have a lot of cap space and a lot of playmakers. They won the division last year when they actually got good QB play out of Cassel. And Romeo Crennel is the head coach now, so them winning a Super Bowl makes perfect sense from a Cleveland perspective.

I'm still not convinced he'll be able to come back though, let alone to an elite level.

Agree with this. I've had my doubts he'd be able to come back from this, at all.

Besides the Jets I've also heard his name connected to the Cowboys with all of Romo's fails.

This year isn't on Romo. It's on their defense and the Coach. Romo had a very, very good season. 31 Td's, 10 Int's, 4200 yds and a 102.3 rating.

I agree. As your boy Kosar said last week on the RBS once you start getting injuries in your 30's, you don't ever get over them.

Plus that's a very dicey area. He has to have his head on a swivel at all times. It would be one thing if it was one minor surgery but he's had to have this thing corrected 3x's?

Oh, I agree. I'd take Romo over anything the Browns have had since 1999 but we're talking about Jerry Jones here.

The Jets do not have a good o-line.

Perception always seems to trail reality. They had a great Oline 2 seasons ago right?

Yes. They had a fantastic line in 2009 and 2010. This year it sucked ass.

Apparently the loss of Damien Woody was huge.

Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is leaving the Saints to join the Rams. One would have to assume the pay is much better for Williams to leave a contender in New Orleans to head to St. Louis.
Was Williams under contract? If he was, I was under the impression that coaches had to leave for a "step up", not a lateral move.
