Just got back from Korea, dog meat just looks so gross.

Spent a year in Korea...Dog meat isn't as bad as you think.

I understand that other cultures don't view dogs like we do and they use them as a food source, and that's not what bothers me. I just have a hard time looking at that dog in the picture, knowing that dog will end up as food for someone. I'm 100% fine with the idea if I don't have an image of a doomed dog, but that picture literally makes me sick to my stomach!

Exactly, I'd never raise a dog to eat it. I'd never intentionally buy a dog for food. In fact The Wife donates around $400.00 a year to the local animal shelter where I got my Mutt over 12 years ago.

My situation was actually a joke pulled on me by my roommate in Korea. His girlfriend cooked in a way much like a common dish called bulgogi. I wasn't told what it was until halfway through my second plate, so it must not have been that bad. I've actually seen people with kennels raising dogs for sale over there...Pretty sad.

But, imagine what other countries think because we eat BEEF !!! The Horror !!!

It's just like how they outlawed Horse Slaughter in the US. Now there are tons of horses that are suffering because the owners can't afford the $1000+ to euthanize the horses and all the rescues are full. The emotions of the extremeists has actually caused more suffering than it has prevented

Glory Days, I know its tough, but you will have to muster up what little brain power you have to try harder than that. Thats just sad, but expected from the likes of you.

And I dont know if its bad or good, didnt try it, just saying it visibly looks so gross, at the markets I went to at least.

That is absolutely despicable. Then again, why/how is this any different than a cow? We don't bat an eye to eat a burger (i.e., know that cows are convoyed to the butcher's house), yet we all feel terrible if it's a dog.

A dog is a pet. A cow is bred to be killed/for food.

This fries my ass...... I have 3 dogs and if ANYONE does anything to hurt them, I will be spending the rest of my life in jail because they are family.

Indians probably think we're monsters for doing what we do to cows

This is almost like the Vick thing, people put dogs on pedestals. Theyre animals just the same as the ones we slaughter and eat, we just endear dogs

People have cows as pets. Also, in other countries, dogs are bred to be killed for food.

When all is said and done, this is true. However, any animal can become like part of the family.

If someone did this to MY dogs, I'd spend my energy trying to make their lives hell.

They would do the same to us if we killed a cow in front of them, and they would be equally as indignant about it.
