No fact finding mission, we have golf match, baseball game, tennis practice, and girls soccer departure this afternoon. I can't keep on with this and ignore my job.
Wish I could though, it is more entertaining and less stressful for sure.

Yea, I was just adding to your statement.

Big Ten is the 2nd best conference in NCAA basketball and alot of that is based on the PG's and Bigs. The Big Ten lacks great wing players on the whole, although Buford is very good.

I'm not sure anyone on the National level would take the ACC PG's over:

Lucas
Taylor
Battle
Craft
Nolen
McCamey
Thompson
Jackson
Morris

Given the fact since league play started (and Craft's subsequent starting role) OSU has not played outside of the conference,

It is a shame because had Craft been starting earlier in the season as the matchup with Kenny Boynton would have been one to see.
In that game in Gainesville Boynton had at least 20 points and was deadly from the arc.

Your ignorance is showing, Craft has only started ONE game all year, the game Buford didn't play. ALL of the other games 1 though 30, Craft has entered the game at the first TV time out and played the balance of the 1st half, exceot for a couple of games in which he got 2 fouls in the 1st half. He has started the 2nd half in the Big Ten season.

More ignorance, "tempo teams". The only ACC school that is more of a "tempo team" than Ohio State is Duke. All other NCC schools have a lower scoring average than Ohio State. Ohio State has the 2nd highest shooting percentage in the country. "Tempo teams" should have a higher shooting percentage since they are scoring on a lot of layups and dunks in transition.

UNC definitely plays at a higher pace than OSU. PPG isnt a direct correlation to how fast a team plays.

I dont expect Big Gain to read my earlier posts, but I did make an argument that the predicated offensive teams typically shoot higher percentages because of their shooting in an offense. Fast break teams actually shoot lower percentages because of the lack in organization, thus the need for more possessions to make up the difference in shooting percentage.

I will be back later to check this because cell reception isnt the best at the arena in greensboro

btw, looking at the Uconn Pitt game, it must be a great one. Pitt is shooting an incredible percentage and still losing?

It does help. But I can just go by my own eyes to see it. Roy Williams first offense is end of the break. If it is defended than they will slow it up. But 95% of the possessions they have they are trying to fast break.

You don't need stats to back up what you are saying. All you have to do is watch games from each conference and it should be pretty clear. It shouldn't be a surprise that Big Gain doesn't understand this.

Oh I agree, I just wanted to bring in stats to support your argument. Scoring isn't truly reflective of tempo.

lol I wasn't meaning to attack you for sharing the stats at all, I was just saying the eye ball test should be more than enough. Some people, such as Big Gain, do need to see stats apparently, so thanks for posting them for him.

No fucking way UNC even sniffs a victory. Only way would be if OSU had the wrong arena. Even then, their mystic would keep it close.

I gave them 1 victory out of 100. I figured that would account for their entire starting 5 fouling out in the first 3 minutes and Craft being injured on an intentional foul from a classless UNC player.

It'd be close, but I think with Harrison Barnes they might be able to squeak out a 3-4 point victory.

Uh huh, fine, see if I ever post anything to defend you again! :)

I'm just a stats nerd, so I love looking up weird things like that. North Carolina is no doubt a much more up tempo team than Ohio State, but even if you can't see it just from watching(which I have no idea how you couldn't) then having 8 more possessions a game should easily put that to bed.
