Carolina vs. OSU
Zeller v. Sullinger
Henson v. Lauderdale/Buford
Barnes v. Diebler
Strickland v. Lighty
Marshall v. Craft

I would pay good money to watch this content. Matchups are very intriguing. Given Carolina's length and ability to defend the basket this game would be a transition war. First one to 85

Carolina scares me more than any other team in the country. I think they are very good and could pose problems to OSU.

As for matching someone else on Diebler, that's easier said than done. Why didn't OSU put someone else on Moore of Purdue when he went off? When someone is in the zone like Diebler was, even the best defense isn't good enough sometimes.

UNC is the only team in the country with NBA size in the entire frontcourt. For that reason, they're going to pose problems in the tourney for whoever they play, I'm just hoping it's not Ohio State.

Andre the Giant has a better chance at being the GOAT NBA 3-pt shooter. I nominate this as being stupid as fuck.

Reggie Miller and Ray Allen? Just exactly how many pills do you eat a day? And of what variety? I'm guessing Thorazine.

Don't get me wrong. I think Diebler is a remarkable long-range shooter. He has always been streaky. Even at Upper Sandusky he was more streaky than a pure shooter. I probably saw Jon play 16 times in high school, counting four times at the state tournament as well as at Fostoria as a freshman, and he never shot the way he is now. He's quickly removing the "streaky" label and simply becoming a great shooter.

But Diebler will never be half the shooter at the next level that guys like Reggie Miller, Ray Allen, Dale Ellis, Steve Smith, Steve Kerr, Rex Chapman or Allan Houston were. Or countless others. Let's just stop it.

UNC, really? I think Craft would totally take out their PG, where they are avg at best, with no depth. I think Lighty could defend the shit out of Barns. And they have absolutely no one with the strength to match up with Sullinger. They may be a bit scary just because they are gaining confidence from playing well. But I don't mind this match up at all.
One team I am concerned with, is Kansas. They have the strength and size on front line to creates some serious mismatches with OSU.

Your on drugs. Dielber is NOT an NBA player. He will probably go overseas and have a nice career and make some nice change. But no way, no how does have the ability to play in the NBA.

God I wanna see this matchup so bad..because I think both those teams are worried about the opposition and the mismatches they propose. Kansas has 3 first round picks in their front court that could hold Sullinger to no more than 20 points, but their guards would not be able to match OSU's. It'd be a hell of a game tahts for sure.

Diebler is playing with immense confidence and you cannot let great three point shooters get this type of focus. He is nailing everything and these shots aren't just wide open looks.

Ohio State is playing their best basketball of the year at the right time. I've said that this team is the perfect mix of players and they are showing it right now.

Carolina would absolutely be a bad match up for OSU. You talk about UNC having lack of depth, Zeller and Henson were beating Duke's bigs down the court for layups after a made basket, do you think Sullinger or Lauderdale would be able to keep up with them? Sullinger would be exhausted with the pace Carolina would force him to play. Craft would take out Marshall how? Marshall isn't a scorer, he is a distributor. Who does Diebler guard? If Craft is in the game he would guard Henson, if Lauderdale is in the game Diebler draws Strickland or Knox? I'm not saying Carolina blows them out or even beats them at all, but to think its a good match up for OSU is homerish at best.

Beating teams down the court depends on makes, misses and rebounding. OSU doesn't live and die by the 3pt shot like Duke does. Duke keeps firing away from 3, thus its easy to run on them and beat their bigs down the court. OSU is one of the best shooting teams in the country as well. Its not as easy as it looks. And at this time of year, games are won and lost in the half court. That edge easily goes to OSU IMO. And why is it homerish to think that the #1 team in the country, is flat out better then a team that many thought sucked only a month ago? And this a team that is in a fairly weak ACC? I think UNC is good...but not near as good as people are making them out to be currently. It woultdn't be an easy game by any means. Nor do I think its an auto "W" for OSU if it does happen...but I am not fearful of UNC at all. They are very beatable.
Florida thought they could press and run on OSU as well. OSU absolutely dismantled them.

There are very few teams that Ohio State doesn't match up with well. Carolina is one of those teams.

OSU likes to push the ball, so I don't see any type of tempo as a problem.

Once Craft gets the ball, he is going down court if he can.

OSU is favored in any matchup, period imo. They can slow it down or speed it up. They work through one of the best bigs in the nation, but they also shoot just as good as any team in the nation. Double down on Sully and you have 4 players on the court that 38/39/45/51 percent from deep. Their wing's are athletic, Buford who is playing great, and they have two lockdown defenders on the defensive side. This is a team that lost 2 games all year, both on the road against top 10 teams that didn't lose at home all season long. Add in overall team experience.

I am sorry, but I am not worried about UNC. OSU is currently the #1 overall seed for a reason.

Your opinion. I happen to think otherwise. I happen to think OSU is one of, it not the toughest team to match up with. There is a reason they are the #1 team in the country.

Tempo? OSU can go both ways, and have on numerous occasions. Thats why they are tough to match up with. And again, this time of year, games are won and lost in the half court.

Yeah you are right. Do you already have your seat reserved in Houston? Same general view as you had in Glendale?

I don't disagree that OSU is a tough match up. I do think that Carolina is not the best match up for OSU. I don't think Carolina is suddenly unbeatable, but they are living up to the expectations from the beginning of the season.

UNC is very good now with the emergence of Kendall Marshall...Roy needs a good passing PG to get his offense going, and now that he has one they are a serious threat.

I have little reason to feel that OSU won't be in Houston. They are 28-2, won the B10, and have the right mix to make a deep run. Honestly, you have the NBA lottery pick big who can back you down or hit the jumper. The NBA type wing player in Buford who is silky smooth either backing you down or facing the defender up. Then you have the seasoned veteran in Lighty who has great defensive skills and can attack the rim with power. Add THE best 3P shooter out of any team that has a legit chance at the title. The "crafty" young PG who will bother the shit out of any PG he guards. Lauderdale who has the experience and the defensive blocking abiltity to cause problems down low. Then the microwave who can be instant offense off the bench and will hit the glass hard.

I really think they have the perfect blend of players who are very unselfish.

Not sure how much more you want from the #1 team in the nation.

I am going to roll with the 7 players that OSU uses against any other rotation, whether it be 7 or 10 players.
