But this drives me fucking insane.

Like most people, I don't always (or usually) get out of work on an exact time. If I plan to leave at 5 it'll usually be a quarter after or whatever. This girl Im talking to will always call to see if I'm still there. for everything....

If I'm supposed to meet her for lunch and I'm supposed to leave at 11:30, she'll call at 11:32. Or if I tell her I'll prolly only work till 5, she'll call at 5:03. No matter how many times I explain that I can't just leave at a certain time, and theres stuff that must be completed before I go (mainly billing hours that day), she continues to call a few minutes after to see if I left yet.

I know it doesn't seem like a big deal.. and realistically it probably isn't.. but would that bother anyone else?

Her calling me every day like that would bug the shit out of me, whether I had left or not. Bitch, I'll call you if I wanna talk when I am getting off of work.

I used to have that problem with my wife. She would always call me and "check up" on me. I hated it.

I'm a big boy, I don't need a chaperon for everything. Just leave me be, I'll be there when I said I'll be there, or it'll be just shortly thereafter.

Its every...fucking..day. I'm at the point where I don't answer my office phone cuz I know its her... so she just calls my cell.

Be bugged. Next time you are on a date say you have to take a quick crap. Sit on the toilet and see how long it takes her to come knock on the door and ask you if you are done yet.

I generally give Mrs. FFT a call when I'm leaving work so she can get started on dinner. But if she called every day like that, that would drive me insane.

A girl I work with thought I was overreacting and it wasn't a big deal so I didn't know if i was just too easily bothered or what

Just give her random times. Instead of 5pm tell her 7:23pm. She will get the point eventually

I can sort of see that.. but we aren't anywhere near that. I go to my house after work. She has her own place. It's not like she's waiting on me to get home.

Sounds like it may be "Fatal Attraction....Part II". I think if you really are tired of this annoying behavior, you just tell her. When she starts showing up at your place, I would say it's time to be totally frank and do not be polite. Unless, of course you want her attention, but if it were me, this would not continue. Too creepy.

Don't get me wrong.. I don't mind her knowing when I'm off work, or when i'll be home. That's why I tell her when I plan on leaving. I just think it's a little excessive to call a few minutes after that.

Oh and I would just tell her it bothers you. Say exactly what you said here. You don't know exactly what time you'll actually be leaving work but that you'll call her on your way home or when you get there. And that if she keeps interrupting you it's just going to take longer for you to get out the door.
