Thirsty Dog Wulver:
Holy shit; this stuff is good.
VERY smooth nose. Vanilla and caramel accents dominate. Maybe some honey? VERY sweet aroma. Think Backwoods Bastard, but a sweeter nose.
Wow! Coffee, vanilla, coconut, and minor alcohol notes. Absolutely DELICIOUS.
Smooth mouthfeel. Almost numbing. Coats the mouth. Thick. Solid for sipping. Almost "buttery," if that's a thing.
Poured looking like red velvet cake. Mostly black/dark brown with minor hints of red.
Oh, drank from a stemless wine glass.
This is a grand slam for a Wee Heavy Ale. Might be my favorite of the bunch.

I'll be having a Thirsty Dog Wulver next. Breakdown to follow.
Compass was an interesting beer. Felt like there was a lot happening and a little could go a long way as I felt bloated. I could have been just full from lunch too.

Safeway out here has 20% off all craft beer right now, so I picked up Lagunitas Maximus. Awesome stuff and perfect for the price ($7.99).

I've seen that on twitter. Well him conversing with Greg Cook about beer. Didn't know who 'wilw' was cause I'm old and was not into the new Star Trek.

Was out to work with co-workers after meetings today and wanted to have some beers I couldn't get back home. Had quite a few Tighthead Scarlet Fires. Really fucking good.

Had my wife pick me up a 6 pack of White Rajah. I have only recently tried stuff from The Brew Kettle but they are quickly becoming a brewery I'm in love with. Looking very forward to drinking some tonight.

Tonight it's Stone IPA. The Wife did pick up a couple more bombers of Ruin Ten today. She's da shit too, sometimes.

They have a thing here in Indy called the "Brew Bus". Basically they load you in a decked out school bus and drive you around to the various breweries in the city. You get free samples at each spot and can buy growlers. Awesome time! Def allowed me to branch out a little and try brews I normally wouldn't entertain.

That is cool. They do that on occasions here in Cincy. Only issue is most of the breweries are spread out. One brewery doesn't have a tasting room so some of his beer is usually on tap at another brewery. Cooperation in Breweries ??? Yes, only in Craft Beer and that is part of the reason I love small breweries !!!Trueblue23;1463418 wrote:They have a thing here in Indy called the "Brew Bus". Trueblue you should try some 3 Floyds as it's available in Indiana. Another good one is Upland. They have some decent beers, but I've heard their Sours are great.

State fair’s home-brew competition really cooking

Anyone attending? Wondering if you can sample the beers. This sounds like it would be kinda fun to check out.
