Just might have to do that and check out the smaller breweries there. In fact I mentioned it to The Wife and that would be a great little weekend trip and she agreed. It's only about an hour and a half drive. Go up Saturday, spend the day at breweries, spend the night in a hotel, and drive home Sunday. Something to do this Summer to get out of town.

I'll look you up if we do it. Plus I could get my hands on some 3 Floyds and New Belgium to bring back home...(I'd Rep you for the idea, but just did in the 'Dick' thread)

True. I can get Revolution here, but not Boulevard. Love their Wheat. Might be the best wheat beer I ever had. This was one of the first craft beers I had while visiting The Wife's Dad in Kansas back in 2004, before I knew what Craft Beer was. I haven't had it in 3 years.

Actually I'm just Old. Get that straight ya young whipper snapper, and we will do if/when it happens.

I'd say cutting off your thumbs ... or any finger ... trumps that.

Another bottle of RuinTen tonight, and finishing off the six pack of White Rajah. Doing good now.

I agree. Speaking of Southern Tier, I'm looking forward to Warlock, the Imperial Pumpkin Stout they are releasing!

They've done magical things with pumpkin ale. I can only imagine what they'll do with a pumpkin stout!

Also, Southern Tier is definitely in the elite class of microbrew. I have tried the gamut from them lately, and everything is solid. If they were a poster here, I would rep them, just for being them.

Sampled some Hop Notch after the cigar tasting tonight. Almost took home a growler of it, but went with the Ballast Point Sculpin and killed it last night.

Picked up a 4 pack of Great Lakes Imperial Pale Lager, just finished the first one and like it a lot. The beer is super balanced with a big hop profile but pretty malty as well, and a bit boozy. All things I like in a beer. A nice change from all the IPAs I've been drinking. My wife happened to come home with a 4 pack of Insanity for me so looking forward to trying that as well.

I'm thinking of going to Jungle Jim's Eastgate Saturday. They are having GL Samples, including BA Blackout Stout and Silver & Gold IPL. Just came from Pint Nite a JJ's Fairfield. Had a Citra Dog, G'Knight, Hop Notch, and a Pleasant Wheat. It's from a local brewery MadTree which is putting out great stuff.

Bought a bomber of BA Chickow from Triple Digit, local beer, and dropped the $24.00 for the BA Wulver.

Currently having an Epic Sour Apple Saison. Got a Ruin Ten or Mean Manalishi on deck.

Well it was the Manalishi...Now onto the BA Wulver, at least one bottle if not more. Maybe I can get to DA's drunkiness level with my remaining 3 Wulvers.

No beers for me last night. That's probably why I didn't sleep all night and was up too early. Still have my BA Chickow in the fridge along with a couple of Ruin Tens. I'm sure The Wife will help me kill the two Stones today.
