Also BA Siberian Night is supposed to be unreal. My mom grabbed a 4 pk for me, but I have to come home to get it. One of these days I'll make it back to Ohio and report.
Sophie is on my short list to try tonight. I've already had a bomber of the Siberian Night, and plan on having more tonight.

I went through the list and there are at least 27 different tables I want to hit, some include trying several different frrom drom them. I'm glad I will be going both nights as I'll need both nights to get through my list. Tonight I'm trying to hit the Rare or Special ones at least and go for some beers I've never had.

Wow. Some damn nice beers on that list. Maybe a dumb question.....is there a limit on how many of a certain beer you can purchase?

Oh crap....is it only samples or are they also selling bottles?

They lived up to their reputation! The Brown Ales were excellent and the IPA's were very good! I have a 12 pack each I brought back chillin in the fridge.

Got lucky at the bar last night, saw they had Doom on the menu and it ended up being their last bottle.

Said, I didn't have the 90 minute as it's pretty common and I've had it too many times to count. I was going for the rare and ones I've never had.

COA, I tried the Sophie. It was the first one I went for after having the Firkin. (Traditional first beer). It was decent, but I'm not sure if I'd buy it as there were better. Actually Epic's Brainless on Raspberries was better, but still wasn't the best.

The best Sour Beer of the night was Odio Equum from Avery. So sour that it dries your mouth out and you have to have another sip...then repeat the steps. Nice tart raspberries.

A couple others that were Awesome were the Thirsty Dog BA Wee Heavy. (Wulver) Awesome beer I've never seen. I hear it's new just coming out.
Triple Digit BA Chickow. Wonderful beer that can stand against the giants. And it's local for me. Very small brewery that puts out some great beer.
Another local brewery that brought it was Rivertown with a cask dry hopped Amber. Hops out the Ass !!!

Interesting beers that come to mind. Brooklyn Scorcher. Huge Hops on the nose, light and refreshing on the palate. It's a lower ABV that will be an awesome session beer.
Anderson Valley Heelch Hops. Nice resin on the nose with some malty hints.
Hopping Frog Mean Manalishi Double IPA. Holy Hops Batman!! !
Blank Slate Shroominous. Very interesting beer. Nice and earthy. Yes it's brewed with Shiitake mushrooms which gives it an earthy nose, but this beer is all brown ale body on the palate. I wish I had a steak in front of me when I was drinking it. Another local brewery that can only be found in the Cincy area and on draft. Ichatted with the owner and it's him and a part time employee that was hired just to clean up the brewery. I'll be trying the rest of his tonight. I did have his Fork in the Road Amber many months ago and LOVED it. It was a super hopped amber that could stand against Troegs Nugget Nectar. (IMO)

Now I have to set my list for tonight for the many beers I missed last night. Fuck Yea !!!

Drank free bud light all night at the Indians game. That shit sells for $10 a can and the Indians won. So it makes it ok.

My mistake. I thought it was something new, like a ltd edition something from the 30, 60 and 90 IPA line.

As for my drinking pleasure- Hoptologist again.

Looking for suggestions from the other OC'ers of other DIPA's with a similar bitter bite as Knee Deep's Hoptologist.

Thanks in advance.

Lets try this again since it didn't post last night.

No huge surprises at the second night of Beerfest. Tried some different ones and some repeats.

Had the Great Lakes Collab Class of 88, a smoked Porter. This had almost too much smoke. It just kept lingering, which I'm sure that's what they were going for. I love smoked beers, but was not a huge fan of this one.

Tried the Elevator Ghost Scorpion. Holy Heat !!! This beer is made with Ghost Peppers. Had a nice nose and was pleasant on the the palate for a few seconds until the heat kicks in. It was hotter than Cave Creek. I'm glad I got to try this one as I'll probably never see again.

I'm still going with my picks from Friday night as my favorite beers.

I believe I saw a bunch of this while I was at the beer store yesterday. I haven't had much from Thirsty Dog so might try this one out.

I haven't seen it in the Cincy area yet. If I do see it I will buy it for sure. Hopefully it will show up on the shelves here.

I wonder if any noticeable difference between bottled or caned.

I'd assume yes, since these guys make a pretty big deal about drinking it straight from the can. It says all the way around the top of the can to "drink from the can" and on the back says why you should do so.

Had the double stout recently and hated it. Did you like it?

I've had the pleasure of trying this as well. I didn't find it drinkable though, so carbonated that it just made me full. Could have just been my can though. Great beer regardless.

I didn't hate it but it wasn't the best chocolate stout i've had. I don't mind stuff from Rogue, actually enjoy most of it but this was for sure lacking.

I remember, and this was the reason I didn't try it at Beerfest. Thank you for the heads up.
