In lieu of a Randal jr I'm using a french press to do some experimenting right now. Poured in a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale along with some honey, almonds and a peach. Should be interesting to see how it turns out.

I still haven't seen it at the Jungle, but want to buy it for the same reason...Fuck Magic Hat. I did notice there wasn't a lot of 'that' brewery on the shelf. I don't think they are selling as good as they did before the big sell out.sherm03;1451729 wrote:Picked up a sixer of West Sixth IPA today because...Fuck Magic Hat!

As far as what I'm drinking tonight, like any of you care. I tried the SA Longshots. The Strawberry Lager was okay, so was the Beer Flower Wheat. The star was the Magnificent Seven. Very nice hops from the nose to the finish. Currently trying to finish my growler of Sculpin IPA with The Wife. May even get to the Citra Dog Growler.

I passed on getting a Growler of LEM. Tasted it on tap there 2 different times and wasn't feeling it. Even the guys pouring said it was different this year.killer_ewok;1451737 wrote:Lake Erie Monster and SN Hoptimum today.

Had lechyd DA breweries Breakfast Cookies Milk Stout on tap this weekend. They are out of Elkhart Indiana. Stuff was phenomenal. It was easily the best Milk Stout I've ever had. Lots of Chocolate, vanilla and coffee.

I just had a really weird beer-- Wild Blue Blueberry Lager. They had 6pks for $5.99 and it's 8%abv, so I said why not. I'm pretty sure it's an adult juice box; nothing like any fruit beer I've ever had. However, it's the fiances favorite beer now, so that kinda tells you everything you need to know about it.

I've had that before. It's okay, but I prefer Rivertown Blueberry Lager. Depending on where you live you might not be able to find it. I'm lucky enough to have the Brewery less than 15 minutes away and they have it at the Growler station at Jungle Jim's about 5 minutes from me. Might be my next Growler fill as it has been a while since I had it.jpake1;1452092 wrote:I just had a really weird beer-- Wild Blue Blueberry Lager. Looks like it is Citra Dog for me tonight, unless I put a chill on some bombers of other stuff I have.

Been intrigued by this, I know they got some backlash on this for it being ~$15 bomber and 7-8%. Not sure what I'm going to crack tonight but on lunch I walked by a place that Arctic Devil (a Barrel Aged Barleywine from Alaska) Okie from Prairie Ales (BA Imperial Brown) that I picked up.Curly J;1452323 wrote:I lied. I guess it was pricey. To tell you the truth I never paid attention to what the price was. I'm one of those guys that will drop the cash if I want it. That is why I am poor.Commander of Awesome;1452632 wrote:Been intrigued by this, I know they got some backlash on this for it being ~$15 bomber and 7-8%. Looks like most of the Local Breweries are closed today, except for 50West, so that's where we are heading today. I've only had one of their beers, looking forward to more.
