Thanks! Jungle Jim's is on that list. I'll have to make it a point to look for it there, as I'll be there this evening for a Cigar Event.LJ;1443152 wrote:They are based in Lancaster.

No Problem. I felt pretty much the same. Nice to say you tried it, but not so nice to be left with more bottles of beers your not fond of. Love the Founder's Reds Rye. One of my 'go to' IPA's. (RyePA's)BORIStheCrusher;1443158 wrote:At the beer store last night, didn't see any there either.
Ended picking up some random stuff, finally got some Founders Reds Rye, DFH Aprihop and Sixty-one, and Lagunitas Undercover Shutdown Ale (probably my favorite beer from them). Only drank the Sixty-one. Big thanks to Curly recommending I not get the 4 pack, didn't really care for it very much.

I actually don't mind MGD and High Life. I just haven't had the urge to go on a beer run.Commander of Awesome;1443209 wrote:Bleh, why even fucking bother. Do yourself a favor. Throw that shit away. Life's too short, drink good beers.

At home today doing a bunch of housework, decided to take a break and crack open the Aprihop. First time having it and this surprised me, liking it more than expected. Smells great and very refreshing beer on a nice day like today. Would probably pick up more in the future.

I've had a couple experiences with Magic Hat. None of them were impressive, but none of them were HIPA, either. Might have to try it out.justincredible;1443256 wrote:Had a Magic Hat H.I.P.A. on Monday. Was tasty.

Most everything I've had from them has been decent, not great, except for a chocolate stout that was about the most disgusting thing I ever drank.O-Trap;1443427 wrote:I've had a couple experiences with Magic Hat. I have a bit of a soft spot for Magic Hat, that was the brewery that converted me to craft. Don't drink their stuff too much anymore, but had their stout Heart of Darkness not too long ago which was pretty good. Worth picking up.O-Trap;1443427 wrote:I've had a couple experiences with Magic Hat. None of them were impressive, but none of them were HIPA, either. Might have to try it out.

Mine was Arcadia. Tim Surprise led the beer tasting. Founder of the brewery. Such a cool dude that was excited about beer.

Mine was a night of Ommegang's Three Philosophers, Founders' Double Trouble, a year-aged Brooklyn Monster Ale, and Unibroue's Terrible.

Well you won't find any at the Target on Howe Avenue in Cuyahoga Falls. I bought literally the entire shelf full.Curly J;1443150 wrote:I'll have to keep my eye out for the LEM OTrap. Haven't seen it down here yet.

Tried a few new beers the other night. Buckeye Hippie IPA (not a fan), Ommegang Witte (liked), Unibroue Don de Dieu (favorite of the 3).

Checked tonight. Even asked the Beer Dude. They no longer carry it in Fairfield as it didn't sell. They have it at the EastGate location. Guess I might have to make the drive there to try it...not this this week though.LJ;1443152 wrote:They are based in Lancaster.

Did find the LEM tonight and having one now. Doesn't taste as Hoppy as in years past. Really sweet as in sugary flavor this year. Still has a good nose too it. I have to say somewhat disappointed right now. Was my favorite GL offering. Might have to try it again as I was having Whisky tonight at the cigar event...will report back.

I'm getting the opposite. It strokes me as even hoppier than I remember. I don't get so much as a hint of sweet.Curly J;1443521 wrote:Checked tonight. Even asked the Beer Dude. Perhaps a difference in batches?

Or as I was chatting with another beer snob in FB, that my palate might be blown from the whiskey earlier. I'll try it again on a different day and report back...as number 3 of the 4 is going down. Waste not, Want not... (insert ban-able word here)

I've always thought of LEM as one of the more sweeter DIPAs; one of the things I liked about it that it was so distinct from other DIPA hop bombs. Might look for it tonight and pick some up.Curly J;1443521 wrote: Did find the LEM tonight and having one now. Doesn't taste as Hoppy as in years past. Really sweet as in sugary flavor this year. LEM still $10 per 4 pack?

Not quite sure of the price as it doesn't matter to me. I bought another 4 pack last night, but didn't notice the price. I didn't have it last night as I was at another Cigar Tasting and was having a few Woodford Reserves. Might have to try it again tonight as I've only had white Rajah and Two Hearted so far.killer_ewok;1443953 wrote:LEM still $10 per 4 pack?

Actually The Wife just said it's 'bubblegummy'. More Belgian than DIPA. I'm not digging it, but will drink what I got left.

The Wife just came in with a Two Hearted to wash the LEM out of her mouth...blow by blow description is on.
I'm hoping it was a bad batch of LEM, I've seen before with different beers.
