Let's just say Mr Trap that we busted in to the second bottle, at room temp, it is so damn good. We don't have a beer ready that can follow it...maybe Vodka?O-Trap;1434078 wrote:Ah, you've not opened it yet?
When you do, I'd love to hear a review.

Having a PBR on draft. It isn't too bad. Probably the first time I've had one since I was 19 or 20 years old and stationed in South Korea. It's kinda grassy, but crisp...PBR me ASAP.

Bought 3 more of them today. Plus a Dayman, another Doom, and a Stone Espresso RIS. That was just the Bomber beers we bought. Insanity and Red's Rye were the smaller bottles.

A friend obtained a DarkLord that I will get to partake in sharing. He was informed to wait about two years before consumption. True?</SPAN></SPAN>

I think he is lucky to get this one. He said he might have a way to get us tickets next year.Commander of Awesome;1436282 wrote:If I've never had the beer, I wouldn't. If he got 2, have one fresh have one in 2 yrs to see.

That's pretty sweet to have one period. For me, I would try it fresh, usually the best way to try a beer. I like to cellar beer (mostly Imperial Stouts & Barleywines) to see how they develop. The definitely change, but to IMPROVE is debatable. Only difference for me is SN Bigfoot. couple of years takes the hop bomb down a notch into a really nice sipping well balanced barleywine.Sonofanump;1436289 wrote:I think he is lucky to get this one. Only way you'll be able to tell is to try it fresh so you have a barometer.

You know me. I just love them Miller/Coors products.
Tried the Dayman tonight. Really enjoyed it. Kinda surprised at the amount of coffee flavor within the hops.
Moving on to an Enjoy By 5.17.13.

Since it's out of season, I figured I'd pick up a bottle of Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin. Worth every penny.

Loved hearing The Wife/The Bitch yell at me when I went to take a leak, "Bring back a Beeeerrrr baby". Looks like Founder's Doom was the Doom of her as we still had some left. So I popped open an Insanity which I will have to drink, after finishing the Doom...Lucky me !!!
Cheers Fuckers and Go Find Yeungling !!!

This is one beer I've never been able to pull the trigger on. If a beer is great I'll pretty much pay anything for it; for $20 I expect it to be a world class imperial stout. Too many good ones at a better price. I'm sure I will eventually pick it up, just not sure when.O-Trap;1436723 wrote:Since it's out of season, I figured I'd pick up a bottle of Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin. Worth every penny.
