Picked up a 4-pack of Sixpoint 3Beans and sixers of Revolution Anti-Hero IPA and Revolution Eugene Porter. All cans this weekend. Can't wait to try them.

I grabbed a 4 pack of the 3Beans as well. Pretty nice beer. I was expecting a stout with the name like 3Beans, but it was a very nice porter.killer_ewok;1374722 wrote:Picked up a 4-pack of Sixpoint 3Beans and sixers of Revolution Anti-Hero IPA and Revolution Eugene Porter. Can't sleep...especially knowing I have a bomber of Hoptologist in the fridge. Well it's going down tonight. Great DIPA. Half way through the bomber now.

On to Guinness Foreign Extra Stout. Soooo good. Had a bit of "Santa's Butt" after the Double Jack. Too bad it tasted like it's name and was drain poured. Can't win them all.

My ketone level is too low. I officially have to have a "carb day" to keep my kidneys healthy.
Guess who's having beer tomorrow, bitches?

Didn't know when I started. Apparently doing it for too long can result in permanent kidney issues. LOL!Curly J;1374973 wrote:Excuses, Excuses...
So you monitor your ketone levels, and when they get too low, you have a "carb day."

http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/2743/45175The first one I had was challenging even for this committed hophead, but the second and third went down very easily. A world-class DIPA.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuque! I didn't have time to pick up a brew today. My ONE day where I could have had one, and I missed it. And now I am reminded of my favorite IPA.said_aouita;1375389 wrote:Took the suggestion from the beer nerd.

Snobs and purists will tell you a makes a difference - i've talked to bar owners and brewers who say it makes no difference at all.Sonofanump;1375990 wrote:So, should a stout be comsumed out of a belgian goblet, a tumbler pint, or a handled stien?

It's probably best out of a Snifter, however I'll drink it out of any of them. (I will drink it cold)Sonofanump;1375990 wrote:So, should a stout be comsumed out of a belgian goblet, a tumbler pint, or a handled stien?

Glasses are different sizes/shapes for a reason and can certainly enhance characteristics of a beer. Putting a beer in a snifter vs. a pint glass isn't going to make it all of a sudden taste amazing, thats not the point.Raw Dawgin' it;1375993 wrote:Snobs and purists will tell you a makes a difference - i've talked to bar owners and brewers who say it makes no difference at all.

Glass effects the aroma and how quickly the beer warms (which has an effect on the taste. Drink an Imperial Stout ice cold and at 50 degrees and tell me they taste the same. Eactly why Coors Light advertises Cold as the rockies, bc as it warms up it tastes like shit). It's also been proven by scientific study that shape of glass effects how fast you drink the beer.
RDI bar owners/brewers are full of it.

I agree about temp, just not the glass.
