Don't start the Black Crown argument here. Start another thread for that and talk about craft beer here.

I tried this over the weekend. It was sweet and had a very strong chocolate flavor.

I like some of Sam Smith's beers, never tried that one. Looks good.

That sam smith is supposed to be excellent. Picked up Palate Wrecker bomber today (SMH where the fuck are the 4 packs?). Hoping to dive in later.

Barrel Aged Blackout Stout release party was tons of fun. All the old and new Blackouts were fantastic plus there were two "wild ales" by Great Lakes called Jabberwocky and Rackhouse Ale. Both were crazy sweet with the Jabberwocky tasting more like a cider almost.

All in all a great night. Let me know if you want a bottle/4-pack of BA Blackout as I have a bunch. (Except Curly J who gets a free bottle)

The difference between craft and crap is just an autocorrect away.

...And I cracked my PW. Pretty damn good, though not as tasty as I recall last year's being. Any PW fans try this year's offering yet?

Just starting my second PW. Tend to agree. A lot less bitter this year from what I can recall. Still has that nice hoppy funk on the nose, but I miss the bitterness that used to be there in the finish.

Maybe Sonofanump should start a thread on this beer. It's worthy.

I just signed the petition on change.org to get rid of the 12% ABV cap in Ohio. Needed 1,000 signatures. I was the 1,000th signature. You're welcome everyone.

I can't wait to hear the rebuttals to the petition.

As far as I can tell, last year's bill was not voted on, it was just tabled and they are planning on reintroducing it for discussion some time in January.

Moloko for me tonight, first 3floyds. Pretty good, but surprised by the smokey aroma/flavor.

Having a tasting at my house tonight with some buddies. Line up is going to be: ST Pumking (last bottle sadly), Bruery Smoking Wood, and 50/50 Eclispe 12 yr old Elijah Craig barrel aged version. Looking forward to it.

Love this beer. Had it for the first time the other night at a barrel aged tasting. The smokiness on it is so different. Reminds me more of a camp fire smoke.

I don't see it as much a Tremens so I pick it up when I can.

I can't say it's better, just different. Two distinctly different types of smokiness.
