PBR is decent beer if you are trying to save some cash.

I'd rather not drink than drink swill (I don't think PBR is swill, but BL Plat would def fall in the swill category). PBR tends to make me feel like shit in the morning, thus why I hardly drink it anymore.

I've found myself drinking less as of late. I used to get off at 1030pm and drink way into the night. Now that I get off at 6pm I usually wait until The Wife gets home around 730pm before tossing any back. Then I'm finding it hard to stay awake past 1100pm. I'm not sure if it's old age or my liver putting me on notice.

I refuse to sacrifice quality though.

It is disappointing when your idols fail to live up to your expectations. Where do I look now?</SPAN>

It's true, but it sounds funny in this discussion.

Ultimately, it depends on what I want. If I want beer, I will only get the good stuff. If I just want the alcohol, I'll do either malt liquor or a Baltika #9 (Russians are not known for their beer for a reason).

Beer week in Dayton

And Brew Ha Ha in cinci this week end.

A good way to sample many beers to find your taste. Usually a great time ( even if the beer is served "over chilled".)

I agree, I generally pull something I have off the shelf but for some odd reason I was curious about trying it once. If you like a watered down bud light/apple juice metallic extremely carbonated liquid, it's for you. I highly suggested this beer for everyone just so you can experience what I did.

Drank a few Yuengling Oktoberfests last night. Meh. Better than Keystone Light, and they warmed me up, but I wasn't overly impressed.

Yuengling is in a weird class. It's usually better than most of the common beers, but it's not really par with some of the smaller brews.

I have been calling it a mecrobrew. Somewhere between macro and micro. I think Pabst is the only other mecro that I can think of.

Nice to know this place is news on another BB. And you know NFC has to still be creeping around here. He has to be as it's a BB and he joins everyone of them bragging about how many HS Football Games he's watched. (Life, get one Doucher)

One could make an argument for Boston Beer Company being in the discussion.

Yeah. I like their regular stuff, as it's a superior alternative to the average domestic at the same price, but when you move into things like their bock and black-n-tan, you're getting inferior versions of good beers, which doesn't usually fly with me.

I'll translate for those who know what Heretic really means..." I'd buy crack from Them, but their Cocaine and Heroin aren't as good as others".

Actually I totally agree with you Heretic about Yeungling. Bravo.
