Glad you checked in Sonofanump. I had a beer yesterday that you'd hate. You might even give it a 1 to 1.5......Bell's Black Note.

The place were we were buying beer was offering it for $5.00 a cup. Let's just say coffee. Very nice coffee finish, then you felt the richness, smoothness, and oiliness as it covered the tongue. Just to have the coffee flavor return then blossom into a SERIOUS espresso finish about 10 seconds after swallowing it. Much. Awesome. Beer.

I'll look for it to try it. I am pretty sure that I need something else (vanilla, chocolate) in a stout to let me like it. I'm be up in Michigan in a few weeks, I'll look for it then, I've never seen it in OHio.

My wife bought a Shock Top variety pack for me today. I will admit, the raspberry wheat is pretty good.

Please tell me where to mail my man card as I apparently no longer deserve it.

Thank you.

Brooklyn Blast. I hadn't had this in years. The Wife and I ended up putting away the whole growler last night. Awesome beer.
Had this while at the Brooklyn Brewery, really liked this. Did you get it at Party Source? We are going to stay with some friends in the 'Nasty this weekend and was told we will be making a stop there.

Yes. I went across the River for brunch and hit the Party Source while I was there. Last, and only time I had this was at a Brooklyn Tasting, with Garrett Oliver at Jungle Jim's. It was on tap and we all drank even more of it after tasting until it was gone.

Just poured the Aged Storm King and having cannoli with it. Freaking Yum.

I'm sure we can make an exception for you as I hope you all have for me in the past for drinking Blueberry cider. It happens sometimes even to the best of us.

Had a Belgo and an Anchor Steam at a cookout. Solid, neither anything to write home about.

Buddy of mine just brought me 2 of these from Unibroue. Will be the first beer I have aged. Says best before 2016, so we'll see how long I can hold off.

Not in the area anymore, but this saturday is the dayton ale fest. A lot of good breweries will be there.

Thanks! I was wrong, its not this weekend, but Labor Day weekend we will be in Cincy. Hopefully there will be something worth checking out those days.

Got a 12 of Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale over the weekend. It will do until I can score some better Pumpkins.

I was pretty disappointed with with one. It wasn't very sour and the spices/pumpkin was very weak, overall kind of bland (which JP beers are not). It could have been a bad bottle so let me know what you think and I might try it again.

My buddy and his friends are starting a micro-brewery outside of Cincy and the stuff I've tried of theirs is pretty good. If you live in that area you should check them out.

I've heard of them and read an article about them not to long ago. Will be trying them as soon as I find some. Sounds like they'll be in bars and restaurants before mass producing into bottles.

In an effort to cut back I was going to pick up some cheaper beer tonight so I planned on PBR, but wanted to try something different so I picked up some Bud Light Platinum (I know). I wasn't expecting much, but this beer is fucking awful!!! I thought Heineken is the worst beer I've ever had, but this is just as bad if not worse. It looks like water with some bud light splashed in, the little bit of head I got was gone in seconds, and it's so carbonated I'm burping like crazy. I don't even know how to describe the taste because I can't stop thinking about how bad it is when I take a sip. This shit fucking sucks and I still have a bunch in the fridge.

Sorry to hear that Boris, hate when a night is ruined by bad beer. I also cut back, but my cutting back was drinking less lol. I'd rather not drink than drink swill (I don't think PBR is swill, but BL Plat would def fall in the swill category). PBR tends to make me feel like shit in the morning, thus why I hardly drink it anymore.
