Hop Ottin' is delicious. Almost got some today, but the Pumking pulled me away! I did pick up some hops though, Two Hearted, Palate Wrecker, and splurged on some Ruination.

Had my first Pumpking of the year. Awesome stuff. The Wife only put one bomber in the fridge. WTF !!! It went quick. We ended up having a second one at room temp. We did put it in the fridge to chill once it was opened.
I'm now having a Big Eddy Imperial IPA. Tasting pretty good tonight. I had it a few days ago and was very unimpressed by it. What a difference a day makes I guess.

I do not get the fascination with Pumpkin beer. I had Southern Tier Pumking because everyone gave it great reviews and I threw most of it away, it tasted more like liquid pumpkin pie than it did beer.

Beer has four and only four ingredients, pumpkin is not one of the four.

So what does "beer" taste like? Sorry, I generally get annoyed when people say some of the beers I drink don't taste like beer. There are thousands out there and they all taste different, thats what makes it great. Anyway, I didn't like pumpkin beers at first either but after a while gave them another shot and now I love them.Raw Dawgin' it;1243052 wrote:it tasted more like liquid pumpkin pie than it did beer.

There are only four ingredients needed to make beer, but if you think every beer is only made up of these you are crazy.queencitybuckeye;1243733 wrote:Beer has four and only four ingredients, pumpkin is not one of the four.

I'm going to pretend that I never read that....lol. It's not my favorite style of beer and sometimes they have too much happening with all the ingredents, but there are some I enjoy more than others.Raw Dawgin' it;1243052 wrote:I do not get the fascination with Pumpkin beer. That being said I did have 2 more Pumpkings last night. The Wife starts her new shift today and she will be picking up more on her way home.
