I don't mind the off the football subject conversations at all. But boneheaded hook shot off the wall takes it to far.Old Rider;880636 wrote:Im with you Go Falcons! This thread is a joke. Talk football or just keep your mouth shut.
Im glad its only two individuals on here embarrassing the WCAL chatter folks. Please advise Mods!

Now that really is rich........coming from an Orrville thread regular.....they never get off subject.....cough,cough
Anyway...I personally will talk about anything I want, anytime I want. My guess is you're a little raw because Red Rum goofed on Orrville. Regarding Paul.....who knows what that dude is talking about.
seems like you can dish it out and pile on (see any Orrville thread)....but have a little trouble taking a joke.....now that's embarrassing.

Bloody Toothbrush: Old Rider doesn't like idle chit chat. He likes to keep it on football only....including ours!And....so Red Rum puts a crack to the Orrville posters. BRF has a small objection. There are many of us who are good sports and don't gloat!
P.S. to Bloody: Did you miss that I caught Miyagi talking in the first person on a post? He must have have been tripped up by Paul, who is starting to talk "Miyagi".Good luck to the Golden Bears, Smithies and Bull Dogs tonight!

Yeah, I am a homer. And I believe last week served as a wake up cal to the Boys in Blue. Given that, I am probably the worst picker in the history of pickers.sydfl;880722 wrote:Finally...someone picked NW besides me...Good Luck Huskies!!

Old Rider--
My deepest apologies for getting off topic and making an Orrville joke.
No, wait, scratch that...
EAT MY SHORTS!!!
sincerely, Red Rum
BRF--
It was just a joke, the wcal posters have been the butt of many a joke on the O-ville threads. All in good fun, however, I will note your objection and wish your team good luck this evening.

Miyagi thinks we said all there is to say this week until after the games and a little ribbing with us regulars doesn't hurt. Miyagi guesses we could all make are picks three times if that would help....... It's not like we can sit around and talk about and post pictures of our new scoreboards because we don't have one and none of our dentists will buy us one (some of us dont even have a dentist ,right Bloody ?)...so Miyagi guesses that until us WCALers start playing each other there will be a little jab here and a little jab there and some football talk here and some Rider trollers there and until then ol ride just relax and stick with your thread, there will be plenty of football talk to come.
And BRF yeah you caught Miyagi, but since you have done a 50/50 split on the third person thing Miyagi thought he would give it a try and trust Miyagi RUPAUL is not wearing off on Miyagi. RUPAUL is a joke....maybe even a Rider sent in amongst us to cause havoc.....?
Miyagi is changing some picks for tonight
Norwayne, Smithville, Hillsdale ,orrville win
Northwestern , Rittman, Dalton, Chipps Triway lose.......Bears game will be close but Miyagi thinks they will lose a close one.....Miyagi would hate to make that 1 hour drive to Ridgewood and then have to play football where Ridgewood never loses........But I (catch that "I" BRF ?) will be rooting for you guys Beast!
May every one come out injury free and everyone enjoy the games

Ya I made it. Tuslaw went up 14-0 pretty quickly and the Dogs were finally able to move the ball thanks mostly to Mr. Moyer who did score the 4yd TD. Dalton then forced a stop moved it right back down the field threw a TD pass but was called back on a holding call. Next play we fumble and Tuslaw scores on the last play of the half to make it 21-7 at the half. Some bad luck in 2nd with a long TD run for Tuslaw and fumble recovery for a TD. Dalton did score then in the 4th with the Tuslaw 1st team D still to make it 35-14 with Moyer scoring on both plays. Things are starting to go better for the Dogs. Hoping the Dogs can put it together next week against a 2-0 Timken (opponents maybe subject) and get a W.1486wd;880978 wrote:i wasn't able to make it to the dalton game, saw they lost 35 -14, anyone get to it.

Smithville beats Mogadore 30-28......Smithville scored a TD with about a minute left. Mogadore drove down to the 2 but a penalty moved them back and Smithville blocked the 30 yd field goal with 4 seconds left......good game Smithies , very entertaining......nice running attack tonight

Hell of a game tonight in Smithville! The return of Tyler Buss really sparked the Smithies, even though he was limited he made big plays (the forced fumble being the obvious). Mark Hilty also came up big, a 58 yard TD run and I believe he blocked, or atleast helped block the FG at the end. Smithville offense looked good, defense still needs work.

Congratulations Smithville. That is the way to exercise some demons.
Northwestern took one on the chin tonight. Hopefully this ooc schedule prepares the Huskies for the WCAL season, and they can make a run.
Waynedale, I picked them as a favor to beast. Guess the people from down south knew what they were talking about.
I am interested to hear from Norwayne folks (other than Paul) on how CVCA look this season. Did they pass the ball at all?
No other real surprises tonight.
Let's get ready for Week Three.

Hillsdale 22 Bucyrus 6
Falcons looked decent tonight struggled a little on pass plays and pass block. D was good, slipt a little in the third I think the big guys that were going both ways got tired. Bucyrus came out in the second half and made some good adjustments.
Big news of the night, I found out that Mapleton notified us that they no longer wish to get beat by us. Letters of interest have been sent out looking for a replacement. Only school I heard mentioned by name was Manchester ( no Beast not Manchester United we are still on football), but a couple dozen letters were sent.
Sounds like we may have a game next week against Loudonville.
