Not all of us are fortunate enough to have a garage. Shit, I'm lucky to be able to park both mine and my wife's car in the driveway. A lot of people in my neighborhood don't even have THAT luxury.

I've got an apartment, it sucks. Fucking cursed those that drove by with clean cars this morning while I chiseled the ice off my windshield.

Using I-70 as a line...how far north of it is also fucked, fucked, fucked? Im reading the forecast and it doesn't make sense. Its currently 28 degrees here...says we are going to get an inch of precipitation..rain after midnight, but snow at 11am tomorrow...will that rain be ICE or just make a complete cluster fuck here?

Days like this make me smile that my apartment complex has a gated garage with a parking spot on my floor...

Ice. The hope of above freezing temps is closer to Lancaster rather than 70 at this point.
Even places like Findlay are expecting lots of ice tonight. It's really a blur where it goes to mix and where it goes to pure snow honestly. If you are in the Delaware county, Marion County, Richland County area, expect close to .75" of ice

Tuscarawas...30 miles north of 70 on 77...I just watched a car hit its brakes only going about 20 mph and slide three houses almost past the stop sign. Going to be fucked fucked fucked then

Already been sleeting/freezing rain for about an hour in Findlay.
I'd much rather have the 12+ inches of snow that the northern parts will get but oh well.

Any predictions for the Akron area? It's been sleeting/raining since I left work at 4:30ish. I didn't think we were going to get THAT much.

This ice will only get heavier and start snapping trees. We are all fucked at some point. I dont think its a matter of when, its a matter of how long will I be without power.

Yep! I had several agencies and customers send out emails at the end of the day predicting they will have limited staff tomorrow or will be closed altogether. Surprisingly my boss said if it's really icy I can stay home, too. I was seriously shocked. Luckily he can work from home so we wouldn't be losing out on anything.

I will definitely be calling off work tonight. Not even going to attempt to go in at 10:30.

Question for those who's work gets shut down. Does your company pay you? Mine does, not that this is affecting me but other employees all over the nation in my company will be paid for their offices shut down. It's happened twice that I can remember at my Jacksonville ffice, both for hurricanes of course.

...Most of our staff around the country affected by this crap have cell phones & lap tops, so senior mgt. said if it's too bad & you can't make it to work then they log on from the house (citrix). For me, I stayed (company paid) at the Hampton for the night so I'll only have a 15 min drive into work tomorrow.

Looks like Findlay has entered the fucked zone.
Mostly ice for the night then snow on top of it. Its been coming down hard for over two hours, not good.
I expect the power out sometime tonight.

The ice line is still inching north. Once it hits the warmth of Columbus it should shoot north.
