Technically, it's probably more Montrose then.
But tell your friend everyone else in Akron would call that Fairlawn.

Took me 1.25 hours to drive from fairlawn to south canton this morning down 77. Only saw 2 cars on the side of the road. They didn't plow 77 at all until I got to the hall of fame.

Here in my section of Belmont county, we've got mostly slush, and very little at that. Right now it's raining pretty good.

My car probably has about a 1/2 inch of ice on it. I really wish they would close OSU today. I guess the 2nd/worst part of this storm is coming later tonight

I'm in Mogadore...near Akron.
My drivers side door was iced shut so I had to crawl through the passenger side...so that sucked. I had about 1/4" of ice on my car. The roads were not horrible but not good. It doesn't help that I live in the country and they never get plowed. Once I got into town there were stretches that were decent and then some that had blown over and were bad. Should be interesting to see what we get today/tonight/tomorrow.

Nice little 24 mile round trip drive this morning to drop off the better half, pretty much like rumble strips all the way. Asshats a plenty.

The process of getting in my car (iced over) and getting enough ice off the windows to drive took like a half hour. This included my window scraper breaking, causing me to have to use a snow shovel (plastic) to do most of the window work.
A joyous day! Especially when I leave work and have to navigate the driveway getting back home. Something tells me that going up it will be a bit trickier than descending...

I did that last year and scratched the shit out of my truck. Lesson learned for me, I put a tarp over my windshield and front doors last night.

Gotta love the 3 Dayton news channels that made it sound like hell was here. As for Northern Ohio....you guys should get rocked tonight.
Define Northern...where are the OC experts? What the hell is coming tonight...all ice...mix...whats the track lol

I hear ya, I live just over the State line in Bedford but teach in an OH school district in Ottawa County. So, yea for me school was cancelled. Crappy thing is I still have to treck down today because something HAS to be submitted today regardless.

We got probably 3-4" last night with drifting. If we get what they're calling for tonight, i'm gonna be posting from my couch as we'll probably be closed.

Yeah! Will Mount Gilead get 20 inches or some shit like that? I wouldn't mind skipping work tomorrow...even though it'll wind up looking shitty because I live .5 miles from my office and there's at least one total workaholic who'll decide she HAS to drive 20 miles even if it's a Level 3.
