LOL. After reading this thread, my conclusion is that LJ is one of the problems. I call BS on him being serious.

I will also say that with the announcement that Justin is selling the site, I find it pointless to complain about any unforeseen changes. Just have to wait, I guess.

Just wandered over to JJ and noticed that there is no thread talking about the downfall of this place. I find that quite surprising, considering some of the other threads started over there. I am going to blindly (with no proof whatsoever) say that either Ohio High or JJHuddle or Bucknuts is involved in some way/shape/form.

No way it's JJ or those others, can't imagine they'd be down for free posting.

Most people don't carry on that much to begin with, much less endlessly attack each other. So, if a word gets filtered, but the intent is still there... how much does it really matter? People can still be offensive and/or funny. Do we need to see the words spelled out to make it more so?
If this does happen, then maybe after a period of time, the rules will start to lax a little bit. Small price (hopefully temporary) to pay to have a forum that has been the best, by far.

I remember when free huddle/Ohio Chatter first started, I was telling a friend of mine about all the ways it was different than JJHuddle (swearing, better moderating, lenient rules, and free membership.) He told me that all the "freedom" would only last for a certain amount of time before this place became like JJHuddle and it appears to be happening now.

The swear filter doesn't bother me, but the banning just seems kind of pointless. People can just change their IPs and come back with a different username. This is not going to solve the problem. The best way to go is to just ignore stupid posters.

I understand that with new ownership, comes new rules though. I'm interested to see the changes that take place, but I can only think that they will not be good. So much of the charm of this place was that one of "us" owned it. That charm is going to go away quickly, especially when the new owner realizes that after paying justin "x amount", he needs some ROI
