Yes Thomas is elite and Mack is a good center. I misspoke, as I meant impact players. Hillis is an average back and I really hope the Browns don't fall into the trap of signing him long term. He had a good year last year but with his style it's hard to buy into him for more than a few seasons.

Thank God! We all saw the real importance of a good punter.

Sad, but true. The scoring for the Bengals was almost all set up by our douchey punter

Glad we got a new punter, not sure he's a whole lot better.
"Maynard, a 14-year veteran, punted for the Bears the last 10 years after four years with the Giants.
He punted 83 times last season for a 40.1 average. It was the worst average among NFL punters in 2010, but it beats what McGee did in his first NFL game after three summers in training camps with the Eagles and Bears. McGee had punts of 20, 28 and 30 yards against the Bengals."

I really don't care if he's averaging 40 yards per punt as long as he's consistent. They need a punter that can regularly kick the ball farther than a newborn infant can throw.Commander of Awesome;894490 wrote:Glad we got a new punter, not sure he's a whole lot better.

If Hodges isn't hurt, I honestly believe Cleveland wins the game. He would have flipped the field a few times, and likely pinned them inside the 10 at least once. He is a huge loss to this team that nobody has really talked about.wes_mantooth;894483 wrote:Sad, but true. The scoring for the Bengals was almost all set up by our douchey punter

LOL...OIC, Richmond McGee was put on IR. Apparently he was punting with a herniated disc (I would've guessed sand in the vag). What other city would have TWO PUNTERS go on IR? SMH Didn't know he actually averaged over 46 yards a punt in preseason.

LOL.
Maybe we can get Zastudil back and see if he can reaggrivate his issue that had him on the IR for 2 years and set some kind of record for laid up punters

Ohio Bobcat = champ
God knows he got a lot of practice when he was there, those were some of OU's worst teams.

I haven't heard Bump & Run because I've been listening to 92.3 but I find it funny that the TBPer's are trickling over to 92.3. Someone called in and said "deez nutz."wes_mantooth;894696 wrote:"bump and run......GO!"

Interesting.OhioStatePride2003;894999 wrote:“Well someone should tell Mr. Shurmur, that Mangini was the head coach of a Browns team that was one of the least penalized teams in the NFL. His team committed more penalties in the 1st Qtr against the Bengals, than some high school teams commit in an entire Friday Night.
Maybe he should seriously reconsider bringing back the refs Mangini hired to help with practice, it clearly helps.”

How many of you already miss Vickers ? Thought one of the reasons we drafted Marecic was because he could catch out of the backfield ? How many did he catch this week ? 0.
Robiski ? 0. We need Vickers blocking ability and miss his pass protection

+1
Vickers was a solid player and one we took advantage of. Robo is dead weight and I am wondering why he still has a uniform.
