People on another site have watched that sequence and Cincinnati did substitute a player and snapped the ball before the defense had finished substituting. In fact, there were 12 men on the field at the time of the play.

The refs totally blew it, and it turned that game completely around. Not saying Cleveland would have won if it hadn't happened, but I'm getting sick of being screwed in games because refs are incompetent on such big calls.
The officials messed it up, but it is still a mental mistake by the Browns defense and coaching staff. I understand that this team is a work in progress (to put it nicely) and has physical limitations, but the mental mistakes are what really annoy me. There is no excuse for not being ready on a play.

Don't care how many pages, just go to the current page. 181 pages is exactly why this thread should live on. I want this thread to last forever.

Just go to the last page of this thread like you would have to in a new thread which would quickly get to 2+ pages anyways. Its not hard at all, quit trying to make an excuse to raise your vcash. :D

All you have to do is click "first unread post," and you are good to go.

I don't understand why we havent seen a report of a new punter coming in for a try out. They honestly going to trot McGee out there again?

I read where they should be bringing in punters for tryouts tomorrow. In fact, they may even bring Reggie Hodges in on one leg...:D

They are probably thinking with our high powered west coast offense that we won't need to punt. smh

Word is that Pashos may be headed to IR and the Browns, along with 2 other teams, have made an offer to Leonard Davis.

It's a mental mistake because the offense ran a play illegally and the officials didn't call it?? That's like the QB getting sacked by a DE that was clearly offsides, but not called by the official, then blaming the tackle for it.

Look, the missed call was no excuse.

The team had the ball on the 13 yard line and came away with nothing, Cribbs fails to down the ball inside the 5, Evan Moore half asses it on a TD pass by trying to one hand it, the offensive line plays like shit, yadda, yadda, yadda.

It just sucks that the Browns are usually the recipients of some really funky calls. If they TCB, it doesn't come down to a fluky play. I was saying it all game on that Bengals/Browns thread...."keep letting them hang around and it will come back to bite ya" and it did.

Browns have reportedly made an offer to Leonard Davis. He will decided between Browns, Vikings, and Chiefs.

#Browns' Shurmur said "we're going to make some decisions'' on punter. "we're evaluating."

Browns coach Shurmur said rookie LG Jason Pinkston "had a heck of a game.''

Browns Shurmur said he's "very confident'' the team won't have another embarassing performance like that.

#Browns' Shurmur said the penalties are corrected by focusing on them in practice. He said even tho they don't run laps, it is punitive.

Didn't Pinkston get pulled early in the game?

It's a mental mistake becuase the defense (and coaching staff) wasn't keeping an eye on the offense. You learn that in pee wee football. There is no excuse for it! It is just a lack of focus.

Yeah after the second series. I saw him on the field in the 4th auarter though, not sure if he played poorly or not. Overall the line looked horrible though.

Don't disagree with what you wrote, but probably every NFL game can rise or fall on one key play and I'm not going to blame the team for a screwup that should have never, ever happened.

On the punt downing, Cribbs blew it when he slowed down as the ball was still bouncing; he should have been speeding up the whole time towards the ball. Even if it had bounced backwards, the "worst" position would have been the 5 yard line or so; still deep in the hole. It's like they were trying to down it on the one and gambled.

By the way, take another look at Moore's so-called one handed attempt and you'll see that the defender has his arm pinned. It's clearly interference, but the ref can't see it because the defender's body is shielding it. Moore didn't dog it, he simply couldn't get his arm free. Wilcots (the announcer) should be publicly reprimanded for suggesting Moore was being lazy on that play. He was wrong.

While they're at it they should kick the tires on Donnie Avery (WR-Rams) and dump Robiskie's sorry MIA-ass.

Josh Cribbs tweet...
"we took it like warriors like real Dawgs out there now we dangerous bc now we're hungrier"

Hey Cribbs, STFU ! Talk is cheap and we've been hearing this "oooh, you got us fired up now" shit for at least the last 3 years and you guys go out and play like a bunch of worn out vaginas. The cheese is old and moldy. Get a new schtick....we're NOT buying it.

Lulz...did anyone expect anything different from the league?

MaryKayCabot Mary Kay Cabot

Breaking: League source: official word is Bengals had no substitution violation on their quicksnap 41 TD. Browns had ample time 2 sub.
