I'm not a big fan of Flynn, but if he looks to be a better option than McCoy and they can't get Griifin, I don't see the downside, unless he demands too much money, which I don't think is likely.

Because if they invest in a guy like Flynn, Holmgren is likely going to stick with him and pass on a QB in 2013. That being said, Barkley is probably going to be the only QB worth a piss next year and the Browns won't be drafting THAT high.

Bottom line...Frye held the ball too long and stared down his receivers. SO does McCoy. Put a quick release, decisive (not saying DA was a good decision maker) QB back there and that line is more than adequate. The pocket is only "breaking down" after he's had his 2.5 seconds to throw, holds on another 2 seconds (way too long for a QB to be holding the ball) and gets sacked.

The more I watch and read about rg3 the more I want him. I think he is going to be a beast and could take this offense to levels we have never seen

Favre destested him because he thought Chilly didn't know shit and was clueless as a playcaller, and that he knew the West Coast better than he did.

Chilly also has a reputation for being a major control freak. I wonder how that would play in Shurmur's offense as he is wired the same way.

Since they are from the family tree I could see it being possible, but Childress has never shown much as an offensive mind in my opinion as he didn't call the plays as O-Coordinator in Philly, and until Favre showed up the Vikings were majorly pedestrian offensively.

For an O-Coordinator I would actually like a younger guy with a fresher more aggressive/innovative outlook toward playcalling. We can find someone with a west coast background, but we are running a terribly antiquated version of it and a fresh set of eyes/perspective is badly needed.

Holmgren has already said that they will be hiring an O coord. He realizes how stupid that was. However, he also said that the Shurmur would continue to call the plays, so I don't see Childress wanting to do that.

I brought this up a few weeks ago and got blasted. The kid isn't a project QB, he was recruited AS A QB to A&M. He made the switch to WR a couple years ago because the coaching staff thought (name escapes me) was a better option because he could make plays with his feet. Watch the tape, not just one game, but a few of 'em. Really watch it. The kid can play, make all the throws, and can drop the ball on a dime from 30 yards away on the run. He's going to climb some boards between now and draft day, book it.

Peter King had Peyton Hillis as #1 on his list of top 5 stars playing their final game in X team's uniform this week. Florio disagreed.

I hope Hillis is back next year as I don't see where an upgrade to him is readily available, and there is no sense creating a hole at a position where there currently isn't one.

He has shown enough the past few weeks that they should pay him for 2-3 years and move on with it.
