not to mention our new starter at safety is a career back up ( jury still out) and the signing of DB from Eagles ? i actually think he played worse than E wright last year. Hate being a downer , i just think it is going to take a while

He's building the roster from the bottom up. The top of the roster will be who he drafts. Nobody wants to hear it but it's gonna take MORE time.

This team truly hasn't "rebuilt" since it's returned. Sure, they've blown it up and restocked with free agents, trades, etc but it's NEVER been "rebuilt", through the draft, so this is something new for us.

Won't be getting any competition from me. I'm an O-Lineman by trade. I would say I'll take that 3rd string "cushy" QB job but with this team, a 3rd stringer might get called into "active duty."

Dimitri Patterson may have had Eric Wright syndrome last year, but he did have four INTs in nine starts...

Also a MLB if i remember right. Maybe if Jackson rips a pec you will get called into action, yet you will be the " old man " on the team

Whoa don't crush David Bowen's dreams like that. He's still hoping for the call.

Anyone who might be listening to "X's and O's With The Pros" - LB managed to make the injury to PUNTER Reggie Hodges a racial issue. The "lack of remorse" for the PUNTER is because Cleveland fans are apparently racist. Sorry for the LB splurge, but this guy is really pissing me off and won't take my call! I even tried to lure him to the phone using my Twitter name (a name in which he hates) and the coward won't do it. No one cares, at least I don't, if our punter is lost for the season whether he's black, white, pink, purple or green.

I actually thought about going up....I averaged 45 yards from my sophomore year in high school to when I finished playing college! You think I got a shot Miyagi?

Just a question....if you hate the show so bad, why do you still listen to it? lol

I heard a good point made on the radio tonight about the Browns that has some merit as far as frustration at the sloth like approach taken to rebuilding this team.

Last year Tampa and KC were drafting in front of us.

Now they are both coming off 10 win seasons and their franchise outlook going forward looks very bright after both franchises had similarly fallen off the wayside.

Why is it in Cleveland always that the rebuild has to take a billion years when there are other franchises that can put a foundation in place and start winning games immediately?

I am trying not to get down on the front office because I think Heckert is competent, but why can't he walk and chew gum at the same time as far as both building through the draft and supplementing the talent level through smart trades & free agency the way the KC's and Tampas of the world have?

I told you earlier, he's the male version of Jemele Hill...a blatant racist. He has to stir the pot with the "good cop, bad cop" shit...he being the "bad cop."

Both of those teams actually had a "youth" foundation to build off of....then, sprinkle in some key free agents. Until 2007, it seems like Browns drafts have been one abortion after another. Add to that the fact that free agents brought in were typically on their last legs looking for that final payday and you have a recipe for disaster/bottom feeder syndrome. This team is really in no position to be throwing money around at FA's. I've also heard that they may not be pursuing free agents because of "dead money" and Lerner's gaffes.

Iggy, KC and Tampa had very successful drafts the previous few years to develop a good talent base as BR said. Same can't be said about the Browns.

They still have some of their draft picks from 04, 05, 06 etc....we just now started drafting quality players that are still on our roster.

Sounding like Lauvao is giving Pashos all he can handle at the RT spot. It would be great if Lauvao could win that battle & Greco could play RG. He may end up at LG with the Steinbach situation.

Vickers signs with Houston. Arian Foster shouldn't miss a beat this year.

A name that's generating a little buzz is Branndon Braxton. The kid is having a solid camp from what I hear (reference his play in the article below) and is pushing hard to break into the line-up, possibly at RT. I could see a starting line-up of: Thomas, Greco/Lauvao, Mack, Lauvao/Greco, Braxton.

Excellent add on Houston's part. I really hope H&H are sold on Marecic, otherwise they'll regret letting Vickers go. Vickers played in the WCO while at Colorado and put up decent humbers there. We'll see I guess.

Me and a friend of mine are going to create a Blog...Dunno what it's gonna be called yet, but it's going to be a critique of the "X's and O's with the Pros" show. One blog and One Tweet to Mr. LeCharlesBent65 will generate a ton of "haters". I can't believe the amount of ignorant pukes that came to this guys defense yesterday when I said Hodges was "just a punter".
