They aren't going after Mason. We keep hearing "the Browns are linked to this guy or that guy" and they end up with the Usama Young's of the league. Face facts, Tommy Boy has NO intention of adding significant FA's until he sees whether what they have on their roster is worth a squirt of piss, or not.

I dont have a problem with that either, Mason isn't the difference between playoffs or not for this squad.

Shit...they could've landed Ray Edwards, Clabo, Tulloch or Puz, a stud free safety and Santonio Holmes and this team STILL wasn't making the playoffs.

See "youth movement." Heckert isn't going to pick up anybody, especially someone Plax's age, until he has completely analyzed this roster. Now do I think that's a mistake at certain positions (WR, LB)? Yes, but I think they are doing the smart thing going with youth. Seemed to work out well for St Louis & Tampa last year.

I still think as of right now the LB core is scary, mostly because of depth. Gocong and Fujita are no spring chickens, and both Fujita and Jackson are both coming off injury. One pectoral muscle tear and a high ankle sprain away from Maiava and Titus Brown as the starters. I am sure we will be picking up a bunch of YOUNG LB castoffs from other teams.

Maiva sucks too. No clue on Titus though I hear he's the "vocal leader" of the second team defense, what ever that counts for.

Fujita is a "pro's pro" and will be fine, if healthy. Jackson SHOULD have a career year, again...if healthy. The one that actually scares the Hell out of me is Gocong at the WILL. He is slow as fuck in his recognition and is going to get beaten like a drum in coverage. Depth is the obvious concern. Still think this is the thinnest group on the team....even worse than WR.

I'd like to see the Browns go after Jerricho Cotchery. He was making plays in NY before they brought everyone in, and he was kind of phased out, but the talent is there. He's only 29

Buster Skrine has been impressive as Hell in this camp working with the 1st team. The only time he's had issues is guarding the guys like Evan Moore (6'5"+) which could be a future problem. Doubtful Skrine will face that type of height on a regular basis. Kid could make an early impact as a nickel.

Loved the Skrine pick in the draft. Yea, he's blazing fast in the 40, but he also was tops in the shuttles. The video I saw of him, he looked like he played bigger than his size.

Was that just a bit of snark from Grossi on the question about McCoy's arm strength?

Isn't it a fact that McCoy's shoulder was never completely healed during all of last season and it hurt his ability to throw the ball to some degree, and he has said it is now 100 percent?

One of the comments I just saw regarding the WR's is that "it seems like they are all the same guy." In other words, nobody really differentiates himself from the others whether it's size or ability. Not very encouraging.
