Good points! I'm just curious as to what everyone else's opinion is on that scenario. Buy I sure do hope colt is our.QB for the next 10+ years, and I'm sure all browns fans are the same way.

I'm in the other camp. I think this IS a "top 5 in the draft" team so I think they'll be within striking distance of Luck. The only teams that I think could keep them from being the #1 overall are Carolina & Cincinnati.

So you think Carolina would take a QB for the third year in a row in the first round? I think they have all their cards on cam newton to be their guy and will let him have a few years to show what he can do....that is unless he is jemarcus russell 2.0
I too think we will be in the top 10 for next years draft and will have a shot to go.get luck.

Haha see they have a lot of money wrapped up in their QB's already I just don't see them taking another QB in the first round.
I think the teams that would keep us out of the number 1 are:
Cincinnati
Tennessee
Jacksonville
Miami
San Francisco
Oakland
I'm sure some of them would give it up if we offered the farm though...

I don't foresee any of those teams trading out of the opportunity for Luck, especially w/ the new wage scale.OQB;850014 wrote:Haha see they have a lot of money wrapped up in their QB's already I just don't see them taking another QB in the first round.

I agree, I think the Browns are just too thin. I see us drafting in the top 5 or at least top 10 next yr. I think the Raiders will be pushing for top 5 along with Buffalo, Carolina, Redskins and the Bengals. 49ers I also expect to be terrible. Those are my teams that I think will be in contention for top 5 picks.

Referring to Hodges punt return against the Saints. It was a joke.

Oh how I love getting on LeCharles Bentley's nerves on Twitter. He even mentioned me on the air
He's a fucking moron and has no business being on the air. Whoever alloted this idiot the opportunity to have his own show, needs kicked in the nuts.

Think BR was saying is that carolina might keep us from picking first not that they would pick Luck. Of course they would probably trade the pick. Miyagi agrees we are a top five in draft team if not a top 3. LB worries me. Wr concerns me. Defensive backfield scares me. We just have no depth really. Not only did we not really sign any FA's we didnt sign to many of our own and no one really wants to play here which concerns me. I think we will be drafting defense for years to come. We had SO many holes to fill before the draft and though i was happy with the draft when you look at it we STILL have so many holes to fill. It;s going to take a whileOQB;850003 wrote:So you think Carolina would take a QB for the third year in a row in the first round? He plays the bad cop in the equation with Cherry. He's ALL about money and makes no bones about it.
Since he left the Saints he screwed over the Eagles (for more money) by reneging on a verbal agreement and came to the Browns....he screwed over the Browns (to collect mo' money) by allegedly getting injured in a pick up hoops game prior to his first practice NEVER to play a down for them (still collecting his money)...THEN he files a law suit (mo' money) over the staph infection...then, to show his TRUE colors, he rips on the Yankees fan who caught Jeter's 3000th hit (home run) for not holding out for, you guessed it...."mo' money."

I frankly think this defense is gonna be pretty good. They have two pro's in Jauron & Ray Rhodes on that side of the ball.

Their LB's scare the shit out of me. We're one D'Qwell Jackson "Riiiiiiiiip" away from Kaluka Maiava....not exactly giving me the "warm fuzzies."
