If you are going by that logic, then you would have to put DDL's performance in there because all you see when you watch it is Daniel Plainview.

I'm going to disagree 100% with this statement concerning the ending. The milkshake scene and killing sums up how much of a jackass he turned into. All the greed finally caught up to him, not to mention he always hated Eli and probably just snapped.
