Aside from the rumor, is there any talk about a 3rd villain in the film? Nolan will always get a pass from me and I trust that this film will be very, very good, but I'm holding out that there is a big surprise with the casting.

Ledger was great don't get me wrong, but he gets more credit since he is deceased.

I must be the only person who didn't think "there will be blood" was a great movie. I went into that Batman wondering why they even bothered to redo the joker when Nicholson did it so well and I didn't think Heath Ledger was going to be that great for the part. When the movie was over I didn't even think about Ledger being the actor. All I saw was the joker

My wife LOATHES "There Will Be Blood."

I can understand why some people may not like the movie. I thought it was clever and well made. I honestly won't make a decision on which character was better, they were both made extremely well and the casting worked out perfectly.

I liked "There Will Be Blood" but I can understand why some would not. There wasn't a lot of action and it was a character piece.

I loved it up and until the last scenes - with Daniel Day-Lewis and his son and the "bowling ending". It just seemed out of place. I think Lewis deserved the Best Actor Oscar but he just hammed it up in that, not sure what PT Anderson was going with that. It was almost as if they needed an ending and just threw it together. Still a good film IMO.

ehh I'd have to disagree about the ending of "There will be Blood", I think it works. I think when you think about all that happened before it, it makes perfect sense that it would end that way.

If you think about this, this movie [Batman 3] is setup to fail so miserably it's not even funny. This has nothing to do with the characters or casts, but everything to do with how great Dark Knight was and how the expectations are going to be so absurd it's ridiculous. I almost feel bad for Nolan and crew.

If you are going by that logic, then you would have to put DDL's performance in there because all you see when you watch it is Daniel Plainview.

I'm going to disagree 100% with this statement concerning the ending. The milkshake scene and killing sums up how much of a jackass he turned into. All the greed finally caught up to him, not to mention he always hated Eli and probably just snapped.

Maybe it was the make up, but when I was watching batman I only saw the joker. I'm aware that Ledger was the actor, but I forgot it while I was watching the movie. I always knew it was Daniel Day-Lewis. But I'm also willing to admit that maybe it's just me. A ton of people loved the movie and it must have worked great for them.

I can understand the hate for the movie, because I didn't like it the first couple times I watched it. But to say his performance wasn't up to ledgers if not better is what I have a problem with. Oh well though, it's just my opinion

I agree with FatHobbit. Daniel Plainview wasn't even DDL's best role.

It looks like Joseph Gordon-Levitt will now be in The Dark Knight Rises. Nolan just loves to use actors he's already worked with. I think JGL is a good actor and his demeanor and style in Inception should work really well with how the Batman movies have been.

Falcone sounds like it could be really interesting but I would also have no problem with it being a new character. Sgt Max Court sounds entertaining, too.

Screenrant.com posted some fan made posters for The Dark Knight Rises. I know they don't mean anything, but I thought they were pretty cool.

Wow. Those are scary good. I would have thought those were from production if you hadn't mentioned they were fan created.

She is an amazing actress. This cast is looking phenom.

Nolan loves to keep the same actors and actresses in his movies. Can't blame him though they are all good.

I had no idea Marion was french (maybe because I didn't know her real name). She did a great job in inception. There was something about her dialogue that and english that I thought was a bit off though, and now it makes sense.

While the overall cast may be better,I don't know if it can top Dark Knight as a movie though
