I am one of them. I guarentee you we will take the poland game more serious then any.

Struthers is good, but they won't get past regionals (assuming they win the District). They will run into the same problem Poland did, an athletic team with height. Campbell made a game of it tonight (16 or 17 was the biggest deficit) and that wasnt until late in the 4th (lost by 15). When Campbell gets their 2 "bigs" back from suspension, they might make a little run at Salem. Struthers gets Poland tuesday, might have to make a trip to the fieldhouse.

Like i said it was their worst showing of the seasonand they still won by 15

Salem vs. Beaver Local tonight is cancelled. Makeup is Saturday Feb 19. The Lakeview @ Salem makeup has been pushed back a day to Wednesday Feb 23.

It was great to see Struthers play so well, I haven't been to a St Ruthers boys game since winter of 05' maybe.

Campbell beats Newton Fall 63-47. Campbell dominated the second half leading by as many as 20. Dillon scored 35 of the 47 for Falls. Salem tournament could get interesting now......

Being 2/3 through season a couple quick notes on local teams
Best Coached - McDonald/Struthers/Labrae
Worst Coached - Salem
Having seen most teams in Tri-County Area looks like AAC Top Tier most competitve within league.ITCL LOWER TIER is also competitive with McDonald being the leader.
DIV Tourney should be a fans delight to watch along with Howland DIII.DII belongs to Struthers

I would take exception with the Salem comment. We have lost 6 games now because of: poor foul shooting, poor player judgement in crucial points of close games, and lapses in player defensive intensity. The coach has put the team in position to win 12 of 14 games thus far, but the players have been unable to come through down the stretch. It's that simple. We need some team leaders to step up and whip the players into playing a focused, high intensity game for 32 minutes; because as it is now we have a group of guys - each on their own island.
