I'm not sure how it is possible for a Michigan team to have this bad of a defense, seeing how when I was growing up they always had a nasty defense. If they could get it fixed, this would be a very interesting team. However, Rich Rod fires defensive coordinators like it is a bodily function. I'm not saying Robinson is doing a good job (he isn't) but it is hard to be successful when you have zero continuity.
Like I've said though, I would have been sick to my stomach if I was the AD/President today. The program is going the wrong direction. I love Ohio State and I hate seeing Michigan stoop to these levels (rushing the field after giving up 60 points and beating a Big 10 also ran)
I agree with the 1st paragraph, not necessarily with the 2nd. The defense is amazingly bad. I watch Youtube videos of pre-2008 Michigan teams to remember that they used to play defense.
But they aren't headed the wrong way. You can fix the defense. Not this year, of course. Probably not next. But you can fix it. With this offense and a top 50 defense in 2012, it could be fun.
How do they get there? Well, that's for the AD and coaches to figure out. If they can't, THEN it is headed in the wrong direction.
