who cares? its a big win and the kids should be happy! You could make the same statement about Ohio State this year against Iowa and everytime we beat Michigan in The Shoe
The difference is that when the students rushed the field after the Iowa game, it wasn't because of the win over Iowa, it was that we clinched the Rose Bowl berth.
I have no problem with Stanford fans rushing the field. This was a big win for them. For other schools and fans, it may not be a big win, but for Stanford fans it was.

Bring on Stoops. Can't wait to buy my ND visor. Ha. Seriously tho, no reason we should have lost this game. Already counting the days until spring practice starts. I'm starting to get tired of this shit.
You're just now getting tired of it? I feel bad for SOME ND fans. The product put on the field for the last 15 years has been no better than above average, at best. ND should be able to hang with the big boys year in and out and they haven't done this since Holtz.

Well... You lost to Navy, Michigan, and UConn.
In 2008, you got blown out by Michigan State, lost to Syracuse (LOL), and got shutout by BC.
Should I talk about 2007? I mean you did have an impressive 3 wins.
I also remember in 2006 when all 3 of your losses came by 20 points or more.
Should I continue or no?
And how many BCS bowl games have you lost in a row? What comes around goes around my friend!
Is this really what you are going to use as your argument? It's pretty weak.

Coming from a fan of a team who has won just a single bowl game (against Hawaii last year) since 1994?
That's 1-9 since 1994. And your last big bowl game you won was in 1992 Sugar Bowl.
Keep them coming. I can go all day.
Again, ND has a bowl game win streak, regardless if it's 1-0. On the other hand, OSU has lost several bowl game sin a row........you want me to keep going all day because you will lose every time!
BTW get your facts straight, ND won the 1994 Cotton Bowl agins aTm!
I mean if you want to use this logic, we can say that you have lost 3 games in a row to Ohio State. You haven't beat OSU in over 70 years. But it wouldn't really be a strong argument since we have only played 3 games in 70 years. It's about as logical as your argument of OSU losing 3 straight bowls.
Yes, OSU has lost 3 straight bowls. 2 championships and another BCS bowl to arguably the best team in the country (Texas). I am more proud that my team was good enought to get there than I would be of my team beating up on a mid major to get their first bowl win in 13-14 seasons.
Have SOME Notre Dame fans lost so much pride that they consider beating Hawaii in the Hawaii Bowl an accomplishment? That goes to show where the program is at if you truly consider it a feat greater than what Ohio State has done.
Also, you guys are so excited for the possibility of Stoops coming when his teams have done pretty much the exact same things as OSU teams have (maybe worse with the loss to Boise St.).

now you're comparing apples to oranges because now you're talking about the last time the Cotton Bowl was relevant; after the BCS was created it became just another bowl game.
I don't care when the Cotton Bowl was last relevant, some of you should get your facts stright before opening your traps!
Keep trying to spin it.........ND=bowl win streak, OSU=bowl losing streak!
You are calling DaBrowns a spin artist, yet you try to justify by saying OSU is on a bowl game losing streak while ND is coming off one win after 9 straight losses? Really man? That is your grand argument? That's sad.
Especially considering the competition and what bowls OSU has played in and the one that ND won. Sorry, but if you really think that is something to brag about, than you really don't have any pride in your program.
You are grasping. Just admit that at the moment (and for the last decade and a half) OSU has been the better program. I don't argue with Florida fans and try to say my program is better than theirs the past 4-5 seasons. I concede and realize the Florida program is better than Ohio State's right now. You'd be better off shutting your mouth. You'd look like less of a fool and people wouldn't rag on your program as much because they'd know they couldn't get a reaction out of you.
Just man up and admit your program is inferior and it is at best a second tier football program right now.
