Again, I have acknowledged ND's short comings as a program and I can acknowledge their 9 game bowl losing streak, the problem is some can't ackowledge the fact that ND has won a bowl game and broke that streak. I always thought a win is a win, regardless of who it's against but I guess that thought process only applies to OSU.:rolleyes:

We have acknowledged ND's win last year in the Hawaii Bowl...we've said it multiple times..but were making fun of it because you were 6-6 at the time and beat Freakin Hawaii...so go ahead and take the credit for winning a bowl game, but don't criticize another coach who is 3-3 in BCS games but has lost the last 3 just because you won your last bowl game lol

The difference is that when the students rushed the field after the Iowa game, it wasn't because of the win over Iowa, it was that we clinched the Rose Bowl berth.

I have no problem with Stanford fans rushing the field. This was a big win for them. For other schools and fans, it may not be a big win, but for Stanford fans it was.

I mean if you want to use this logic, we can say that you have lost 3 games in a row to Ohio State. You haven't beat OSU in over 70 years. But it wouldn't really be a strong argument since we have only played 3 games in 70 years. It's about as logical as your argument of OSU losing 3 straight bowls.

Yes, OSU has lost 3 straight bowls. 2 championships and another BCS bowl to arguably the best team in the country (Texas). I am more proud that my team was good enought to get there than I would be of my team beating up on a mid major to get their first bowl win in 13-14 seasons.

Have SOME Notre Dame fans lost so much pride that they consider beating Hawaii in the Hawaii Bowl an accomplishment? That goes to show where the program is at if you truly consider it a feat greater than what Ohio State has done.

Also, you guys are so excited for the possibility of Stoops coming when his teams have done pretty much the exact same things as OSU teams have (maybe worse with the loss to Boise St.).

You are grasping. Just admit that at the moment (and for the last decade and a half) OSU has been the better program. Look, this all started when I made a statement about Bob Stoops possibly coming to ND and a few OSU fans started with his bowl record where I replied, who should ND go after, Tressel? Out of respect for the above two posters, I edited out the "Catholic bullshit" part of that post. As far as banning, though, no. To me, obnoxious anti-religion comments are no different than obnoxious pro-religion comments, such as a thread catsgonewild started on the Serious Business forum where he ranted about how "horrible" it is that people say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas because Christmas is all about Christ and so on.

Regardless of anyone's feelings about that, it should be remembered this is a COLLEGE FOOTBALL forum and not a "how I feel about religions" forum.
