I don't know if I'd have gone for it with 9:00 left... but I guess it worked out for them; probably not a bad idea since they busted a trick play for a score, keep them on the run

Otherwise, this is an extra point for Stanford. Much better chance of ND getting a TD than there is of Stanford missing an XP. If I were Stanford I would take a knee or two and run it down to 3 seconds. Musburger wasting time talking about Gerhart's classes instead of strategy here.
