But Stanford hangs on.
An old wise man once told me "the only thing the prevent defense do is prevent you from winning."

What makes the difference what level they're at???? I was asked to name 5.... I gave 10.... Who cares if they're not going to leave their programs.... Don't they fall under the same category as Stoops???? Already in a good program....

Rushing the field isn't just about celebrating an unexpected win. It's just about fans showing emotion and going on to celebrate with the team. I see no problem with it and wish it would happen more often.

Another great defensive performance by the Irish! All of those so-called great recruits made quite a difference.

I laughed out loud when I saw your post that said it's funny that Stanford brought enough fans to an away game to rush the field. I tried to quote you but you had already deleted your inaccurate post. Nice one.

What are they celebrating? A Pac10 championship? No. A National Championship? Yeah, right. Beating a 6-5 ND team with a horrendous defense? Oh, boy, lets all get drunk tonight!

Later Charlie. Great play call on 3rd and 3 with with a tie game, handing it to Hughes up the middle. They killed Stanford through the air all day and then decide on the most critical play of the game to hand it off to Hughes? Good idea to take your best 4 offensive players completely out of the game when you NEED a first down to eventually win the game. What a joke, I'm glad he's gone. Can never close a game out.

For some reason I thought the game was at ND, and when just a few fans came onto the field I thought they just had a lot of people there. Then when more fans kept rushing onto the field I realized I was an idiot.

It happens, or maybe it didn't since the post no longer exists.

When I go to ND games, all I see is red too, its okay. Granted that is just faces of the people screaming profanity at the coaches/players, but its the same thing basically.

Agree, it doesn't hurt anyone...and it is Stanford, most of their student body probably didn't even attend their high school football games, assuming their HS had a football team (my wife's god-daughter is a sophomore at Stanford that went to some hoity-toity all-girls private HS - I doubt she knows a first down from first base). Let the kids have fun.
