What are some movies that you were looking forward to, but turned out to be a huge disappointment?

A couple of mine...

Napoleon Dynamite

I Am Legend

I probably thought of this because it was on TV the other day. The movie had a great concept and starred Will Smith but the whole film just blows.

Notorious...if it wasn't for the nudity and swearing, this movie could have aired on MTV
Righteous Kill
Ninja Assassin
Brooklyn's Finest....sorta, I'm on the fence. I liked the overall flick, but I definitely was expecting something like The Departed. Just didn't have enough "depth" to it I guess. Same with Righteous Kill
Transformers II

I Am Legend wasn't bad at all.

Transformers 2 tops the list easily. Huge build up and was absolutely terrible.

have to second 'Coverfield', 'District 9', and 'Paranormal Activity'...

the whole "first person narrative, amateur footage that was found" thing was original once, and only once, with 'Blair Witch Project', a movie which was interesting only for a little while because at the time it was so different.

Its shelf life was about 6 months.

Blair Witch two is an all-time stinker, by the way.

also, everything M. Night Shymaelan did after "Sixth Sense"....

that movie was brilliant, then he got the reputation as the "twist ending" guy
and that is a hard reputation to live up to...

^^ Unbreakable and Signs was after Sixth Sense and I thought they were great. However, after that you are dead on.

Whoever said Transformers 2 was dead on. The highlight of the movie was watching Megan Fox straddle a motorcycle--- hell, you saw that on the previews. Other than that it completely blowed. Even my 10 year old son thought the movie was lame.

The Village, hands down. It just looked awesome, but was totally and completely awful. Definitely top five worst movies I've ever seen.
